Fantastic to celebrate the upcoming Winter Olympic and Games in Parliament - the 50th anniversary of the Winter Paralympics. My friend & fellow maternity care campaigner, Paralympiad @Kellygallgher, and Bobsleigh & Skeleton supremo @skeletonlaura even let me hold their medals!

I don’t think anything will ever completely replace the rush of taking a run down an ice track, but that’s something I’ll learn to live with over time. To everyone involved in my career and journey through the sport, thank you.

To those who saw something in the naïve teenager and gave her a shot, thank you. To those who developed my skills and showed me what world class truly meant, thank you. To those who were there to pick me up when my confidence was shattered and show me the way forward, thank you.
