Good morning. It is the 28th of November.
So many fine words have been spilled over pages for trees like maples and oaks with their spectacle and enduring natures.
Few words of praise are sung for evergreens outside of the Yuletide season, however. This is an oversight.
As the old wheel turns and the bitter cold descends, the pines, spruces, firs make no concessions. They stand resolute, unmoved, their green finery enduring through sleet and searing heat all the same. They stand unbothered.
Look to the pines and their kin and you will see something simultaneously simple and grand: an eternal reassurance that good green things endure.
