So today, it appears England is on course for the highest number of school suspensions in a single year. Statements on this today have mentioned ‘mental health issues, unmet needs, curriculum, under funding’……. But nothing about a lack of care, lack of accountability, lack of rules, boundaries, basic respect, decline in consequences, constant and rising sense of entitlement.
Until we stop talking about everything else apart from these things - we won’t reverse anything.
Looking for online softwares to support students. Wondering if anyone has used Educake/GCSEpod. If so, which one would you recommend #English #edutwitter #AQAGCSE @Team_English1

Our Yr10 student council hosted a charity Iftar for Girls in IT on the 19th. All money will go to the 'Great Charity Gift' for computers for girls in deprived countries. Thank you to all who supported & to @mylahore from all at BGA! It is very much appreciated! #Community

Teacher well-being is about ensuring staff don't have to regularly spend a large chunk of their weekend working, not about giving them a sachet of hot chocolate to drink while they're doing it.

If guests from Qatar came to the UK, would they be justified in complaining about alcohol sold in stadiums, church bells on Sundays & little girls wearing immodest shorts? No way. They'd be told to shut up & not enforce their culture onto Brits. Then why the double standards?

BGA students and staff held a non-uniform day in support of this year's Children in Need. We even had a visit from Pudsey Bear himself as he travelled from @FevershamA to @IqraPrimaryA and to Bronte! The total amount raised will follow soon. @BBCCiN #Pudsey
