I don’t think the Jets know what they’re doing (evergreen tweet)

Better idea - how about P*tin fucks off and pulls his troops out of Ukraine? Sorry, I don’t like murderous dictators. I’m funny like that

I really don’t care about any “lack of pass rush” talk bc of this: The New York Jets rush defense is atrocious. It’s been bad since August; I frequently called out the shoddy-looking run fits/gap integrity in August, and it’s an “entire front” issue (too much space left to right, in the tackle box, which becomes worse in 12 and 13 personnel). And they’ve even faced three incredibly banged-up OLs (GB, CLE, NE), while A.J. Brown and Drake Maye did their best to drag the Pats down (investigation-level play for Brown). The Jets’ defensive front roster construction made little sense to me last spring (a combo of big heavies in the middle who can’t get down the line, and lighter dudes on the edge who don’t squeeze or hold up at the point of attack (save for Enagbare), which means this: There’s a stark contrast between the interior and force, as opposed to versatility). McDaniels hammered the C-gap all day. HAMMERED IT, and he then went with old-school misdirection concepts to the B (and perhaps backside A at times). Did any Pats RB ever even try to bounce anything wide today? The idea I cannot even remember one instance clearly, is troublesome (force play from an edge needs to make that happen). Too consistently bullied against the run, all year, with rarely a tackle-for-loss threat that ruins the chain game. If Aaron Glenn doesn’t send extra run fits (or play bad QBs, or in bad weather), they physically get destroyed; it’s that simple. If a defense cannot stop the run, and they cannot get the offense OUT of the manageable chain situation, the pass rush means nothing. It doesn’t exist, especially in today’s NFL with 3-step drops ruling the roost.

Rinse and repeat
Disappointing but hardly surprising loss for the Jets. Countless mental mistakes, baffling coaching decisions, and a starting defensive line that got MANHANDLED by the Patriots’ BACKUP offensive linemen. The Jets never gave themselves a legitimate chance to pull off the upset.

Another obvious “missed” (wink) penalty on the Pats
Jets would’ve had 1st and goal from the 8 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

How did the refs miss the facemask and then not call an equally late (or not late) hit for roughing on nearly back to back plays. How does this happen every single week against the Jets

That Jamien Sherwood hustle play was, so huge. That's the mentality you want the team playing with. Never stop.

Ballgame. More competitive, yes, but still can’t beat the refs and Pats in Foxboro
Patriots interception. Geno's first pick of the year comes on a cross-the-field jump ball in which he overthrew Kenyon Sadiq. Patriots ball leading 23-13 | 12:23 left in 4Q

Aaron Glenn is our Jerod Mayo. The problem is, we don’t have a Mike Vrabel walking through that door. We have to go all in on a guy like Mike Tomlin in the offseason. Despite our moron owner, the Jets have a young core of talent and a ton of FA and draft capital. It’s attractive

There is some talent on this young Jets team, but their coaching staff holds them back every week. It’s just a sad reality of where we’re at Also, fuck @nflcommish and his corrupt refs. They make it unwatchable

The Jets will lose today because their coaching staff is terrible, but also because they have to play against the refs every fucking week. Especially when they play the Patriots. @NFLOfficiating should be investigated. It’s so blatant

I'll be stunned if the Jets win @Foxboro. They're going up against 53 players, plus the officiating crew. No team in NFL history gets more favoritism than the Pats. That's just fact. Ask the Raiders. Ask the team that lost on a plowed FG. They cheat and get rewarded by the NFL.
