Oh health? Children? Well, make absolutely certain not to mention the ongoing pandemic, that we're denying children the vaccines recommended in 🇺🇲🇨🇦 and not bothering with IAQ in schools and the rapidly escalating crisis of #LongCovidKids then 🤫 #GreatIrishCovidCoverUp

#GE24 #Fact #twip In 2019, the average annual electricity bill was €996 In 2023, the average annual electricity bill is €1752. This is an increase in the average annual electricity bill of 85%. By 2028, the average annual electricity bill is on target to be over €3000. Neither @FineGael nor @fiannafailparty will decrease energy bills. #VoteDifferently

Donegal has NO cancer treatment facilities So patients need to take a bus funded by a charity, so they can travel to Galway and experience the poor level of treatment that YOUR party colleague has overseen as Minister of Health @grainne_seoige

The present in the western world feels like the late stage of the USSR: the Apparatchiks and multiple Pravdas lie in unison about the reality that people can see with their own eyes and noone believes a word out of them anymore. Like the late USSR, this is not sustainable. 1/

I think that Sandel's book "The tyranny of merit" is very informative on why the Democrats lost the election to Trump: the (political) promise that everyone gets what s/he deserves when working hard legitimises inequality, demoralizes the working-class and soul-destroys the rich.

My #LongCovidKids son became anxious about school because he feared he would be stuck in for the day feeling dreadful. As soon as he trusted his teacher would call me if he was too unwell to finish the day this anxiety went away. Children get #LongCovid LongCovid is not uncommon!
It's very important that we recognise that there may be issues beneath the surface. Eg. A child may appear to be school avoidant but be suffering with physical symptoms, possibly #LongCovid. Going to school unwell would make anyone anxious. @rtenews rte.ie/news/primetime/2024/1…

At the start of COVID, the government implemented many social programs that helped people who were struggling. These programs were immensely popular. Yet instead of fighting hard to extend and expand them, Democrats prematurely declared the pandemic was over and let them expire.

This is all related. Pandemics, climate, genocide. Devaluing health and life.
Right now we’re in it but if you were to look back at this era w the benefit of a century it would be CLEAR that the pandemic, just like in 1918, accelerated fascism as it brought eugenicist ideas into the mainstream

So many of us wouldn't be alive today, live as long or enjoy a good quality of life without vaccines. We really need to start asking why certain billionaires/oligarchs are promoting an anti-vaccine agenda. Who benefits from a sick & dying population as climate change barrels on?
Replying to @Daniel_E_Park
There are reports a certain vaccine conspiracy theorist may have a role in the next administration. Vaccines have saved 154 million lives over the last 50 years - six lives every minute. Many more live full healthy lives thanks to prevention of chronic/debilitating illness

Population reduction by removing access to/dettering people from vaccines while billionaires continue to burn fossil fuels is a truly ridiculous plan I can imagine being concocted by ultra rich white men to avoid reducing CO2 emissions while maintaining resources for themselves.

I closed my Public Health lecture today with this quick thought. We can't control everything around us, but we can control our actions, we can impact those around us, and we can save and help millions around the world with our work, which is now more important than ever.
