💥 LeRobot × Zenoh Remote inference just landed in LeRobot: the policy runs on a GPU server or cloud, the robot keeps moving. Cameras, motors and recording stay on the robot computer, actions stream back. What this unblocks: 🤖 Robot side: a laptop or a small board is enough for cameras, motors, teleop and recording. 🖥️ Server side: big model checkpoints run on a GPU server or in the cloud. 🏃 Smooth motion, with or without RTC: the next action chunk is predicted while the current one executes, and new chunks are aligned and blended into the ongoing motion. 🔌 Works on the same machine, over the lab network, or across the internet through a Zenoh router with TLS.

Another exciting result in Agentic Robotiics!
Coding agents from @claudeai @OpenAI @GoogleDeepMind are opening new doors for robotics. But how do we quickly test their code and iterate toward better policies? Enter Agentic Real2Sim 🤖 Watch me use RoboSimStudio to evaluate and improve my Push Letter Agent! 👇

One of my friends makes $1.2M a year as an Anthropic engineer. I asked him how he became so good at prompting. He sent me a video that was never meant to be public: Anthropic’s core team prompting playbook. You’ll struggle to find a better 30-minute guide to prompting than this. I watched it last night. Halfway through, I realized I’d been using Claude completely wrong for the past two years. Watch it. Bookmark it.

Replicated the laundry task in mujoco web, and also self-trained the RL WBC. By Opus 5.5 in 3 hrs. Agentic real2sim is nearly solved.
Inspired by the discussion between @qiayuanliao and @wenlong_huang, @kun_h____'s explanation, and insights from Pengxiang and Junfeng. I admire @DynaRobotics' thoughtful choices and look forward to what's next.

Two months of ablating π0.5 finetunes on a real manufacturing task. The policy now succeeds 98% of the time. We're publishing all results, all the data, and every run, including the ones that went nowhere. What we learned: 1/ 5x more data took us from 63% to 76%. Pure scaling was the weakest lever we found. 2/ Diversity got more out of the same hours. 4h spread across five scenes beat 4h in the eval scene by 30pp. 3/ Quality did even better. One clean, slower hour on top of the 21h: 76% → 90%. That single hour added more than the 17 hours before it. 4/ So we tried quality on its own: 1h of clean data plus 240 rollouts with human interventions. 1.7h in total, 28% → 88%. That's 12 points above the 21h model with a twelfth of the data. 5/ Inference settings add more on top, with no retraining. They took the 21h model from 76% to 93%, and the 21h+1h model from 90% to 98%. Just as useful: what didn't matter. Learning rate, batch size, relative vs. absolute joints, image augmentation. All less important than we expected. Full write-up linked below.

New robot added to LeRobot! 💪 Both DM and RS versions of the reBot B601 from @seeedstudio are now officially supported. The arm features a 2.5kg payload capacity and 6 degrees of freedom + gripper. In the example below, the robot performs towel folding fully autonomously. The ACT model was trained on just 200 examples.

Apparently yesterday I wrote a post that sparked an animated conversation. Many replies are driven by perfectly understandable emotions. But I don't think you can have an educated opinion unless you are a senior developer and you are using these tools multiple hours a day. Only under those conditions you can really understand where we are and the rate of progress

New JS package: huggingface/lerobot 🤖 Read LeRobot datasets on the Hub straight from the browser. No download. Point your coding agent at it and build custom viewers fast. Example 3D camera-frustum replay streams 1.1 MB of a 793 MB dataset: hf.co/spaces/mishig/lerobot-…

This is #PlotJuggler ... 4.0 I am proud to announce the official release: github.com/PlotJuggler/PlotJ… PJ4 is the blazing fast multi-modal data visualization tool you deserve. We hope you like it and tell us what you think 🥰 In the video below, you can see the latest feature: the new AI Assistant. It can interact with the raw data and the GUI and create new visualizations and annotations.

Something I am observing a lot right now is an avalanche of more or less open source projects in robotics, mostly tools (guilty!) I think what will make the difference between slop and projects worth using is persistence, attention span and long term support.

Mino will ship with a depth perception module. At 10 Hz, it only utilizes 25% of the GPU, so you can run other AI modules on the robot, like the speech-to-text or the LLM.

I gave Jev a robot arm. Goal: red cube in the green box. Catch: the cube was out of reach. It grabbed a hook, dragged the cube closer, put the hook down, and finished the job. Tool use was never programmed, the model just decided. Fast enough to run a robot 👀 @CompleteSkeptic @typesafeai @dotpem

A great first step toward making large-scale mobile manipulation deployments possible; well done to our Zurich lab for the breakthrough! The best non-hardware-bound SLAM on earth to our knowledge.

As a software developer, I had a good run. The first time I typed a simple computer program I was probably 10, in the late 80s. I started coding "for real" probably in 2000. I always was a very prolific developer. In the last 10 years I developed multiple OSS applications, mostly for fun, sometimes for profit. The last time I coded manually was January 2026 and I know that I will never go back. Frontier models are better than me in almost any way. Maybe I still have better "taste", but it is a matter or time. I am not upset, nor bitter, but a little melancholic, I admit. A skill I was good at, that made me feel a bad ass occasion, is fully commodities. But I look forward with excitement, nonetheless.

This is a really cool UMI style tool
The Koala gripper is a co-designed system that pairs a handheld data collection device and a robotic gripper, allowing a single operator to easily record task demonstrations. Engineered with three controllable degrees of freedom and force-optimized triggers, the device enables complex, human-like object interactions. Training on a dataset of several hundred demonstrations has yielded successful policies, while unlocking capabilities outside the realm of parallel jaw grippers. By facilitating the transfer of intuitive human techniques to robotic platforms, the Koala gripper bridges the gap between human actions and autonomous dexterous manipulation. $28 3D printed teleoperator device. And of course it's open source! The design features clean cable routing, same resting position as the SO-ARM101 and optional rubber bands that improve teleoperation experience (great idea). Used with MuJoCo simulator in the video below but can also be used with the follower arm. Awesome contribution from our community member! Check out the project here: github.com/Matheshwaranpitch…

This is the mark of a general purpose robot foundation model -- that it can be taught tasks from examples without training. We saw an early version of this from rhoda and a solid one last week from generalist, and now a really impressive, ten minute long one from skild. This to me does feel like the true gpt moment for robotics -- because if it truly generalizes, that means that you can really start deploying robots for anything, as developing robot skills becomes like prompting
Introducing S1, our new foundation model that learns from one example. It can be taught 10-minute long tasks that it has never seen before, from one video prompt without any fine-tuning. Watch S1 operate in real-time via in-context learning:
