If college baseball capped its postseason at the same percentage of teams as the 12 team CFB playoff, you’d basically start the postseason with a two-team regional and the ‘22 champs, Ole Miss, and ‘26 champs, Oklahoma, don’t even make the field.

Only reason this is detrimental is because it is inequitably run by 4 conferences (in reality 2) who will get nearly every bid
An autobid to every conference would be healthiest thing for the sport
College football adopted a playoff carefully and slowly.
