The 99 treble was the greatest moment I have ever experienced as a Utd fan, if I woke up this morning and found out that Utd cheated during that period to win it, I would be mortified. I most certainly would not be saying “they can’t take that experience away from us” because they can. The present moment always defines the past and the present moment has defined City’s greatest moments as a fraud. The history they cling to will ironically haunt them forever.
🙄 I preferred the days when we ran on the pitch at the end of the last match of the season and got our own 😂. Had mine growing on the windowsill all summer.

My twopennyworth on JJ Gabriel. I saw him play a couple of times last season. Great talent but physically no where near ready for the 1st team. Rooney and Whiteside played at 16 but they were physically men. The greatest player ever, George Best did not start until he was 17.
Sorry to be pedantic but can’t be 1973 as the manager Frank O’Farrell was sacked in December 1972. Looking at the squad it’s hard to believe how bad that team was! Bottom of the league at Christmas.

11th August 1996 I was at Wembley for a family day out to watch United beat the Geordies 4-0 in the FA Charity Shield. Needless to say the Geordie side of the family were somewhat glum on the train home. I Sill have the plastic bowler hats somewhere in my loft. For the record United’s goals were scored by Eric Cantona, Nicky Butt, David Beckham and Roy Keane. 73,214 were in attendance, and I’ve got to say it wasn’t the best view I ever had at the Old Stadium. #MUFC #UTFR #GGMU #ManchesterUnited #ManUtd #ManUnited
