“You maniacs! You blew it up!”
More than 50 years after the original Planet of the Apes.
That final iconic scene still has the power to shock.
Today. Different apocalypse. Same question.
Did we see it coming & carry on anyway?

You can always rely on @BBCRadioLincs to report opposition to a return to the EU in #Lincolnshire & #eastyorkshire yet fail to provide any information about the damage Brexit did to the region's economy or how it would benefit when we do.
The UK was suckered by the Brexit vote. At last we have a PM who’s prepared to call it out.
NEW: Ten years on, Prime Minister @andyburnham tells @campbellclaret & @RoryStewartUK that there was ‘clear’ Russian interference in the Brexit vote.
FINALLY after years of cover-ups & denials from the highest levels of the UK govt. That in itself deserves an inquiry.

"Simpson writes a fluid, gripping narrative which closes the empathy gap around climate change and makes the possibility of apocalyptic flooding all too real."

AI safeguards are only as good as those willing to abide by them.
In #FloodWatersDown, the super-wealthy Baroness Lydia Frampton thinks she's in charge.
But in a near-future ravaged by climate change, can even she retain control?
Fiction – for now.
