Getting ranked on Google and getting cited by AI are two different games.
Google rewards links and authority. AI rewards specificity and context.
When someone asks an AI who to hire for commercial flooring in Atlanta, it doesn't check your backlinks. It checks whether your content clearly answers the specifics(service, location, outcome).
Content written to solve a specific problem are the ones that gets cited.

2008 was not that long ago. This video should give everyone pause as to where they were then and where they are now.
Your Google rating is not the only rating that matters anymore.
AI search pulls from directories, review sites, and list pages to decide who to recommend. A 5.0 on Google will not save you if you have a 4.0 scattered across 10 other directories.
Find 2-3 that’s dragging down and send your next 10 customers there.
This costs nothing and it's one of the easiest things you can control in how AI search sees your business.

Was in Istanbul 2 weeks ago. Two things blew me away Kunefe and Cig Kofte.
Commercial buyers don't care who else is on your client list. They care what changed for them.
”Companies we worked with” does not answer “what problem did they solve and how fast”.
Stop collecting names and start documenting results.
I've been a perfectionist most of my life.
It becomes a problem when it holds you back, makes you miss opportunities, or keeps you from taking action.
Over the past few weeks, I tested a worksheet call Good Enough.
Before each task, I wrote down what I feared would happen if I stopped on time. Afterward, I checked whether those fears came true, whether I stopped on time or not.
The results have been encouraging, so I'm building an app version, starting with an MVP.
Excited to share the build soon. 🛠️ 🙂

When too deep in the weeds, an outside perspective always helps.

How to sell with confidence. Use "absolutely, of course, and always" more.

Worked at QT for 6 years. We were required it greet everyone who came through the door and say a variation of "come back and see us" when they left.

"Don't put stickers on your car. Despite what you think they say, know they read, I'm poor." - Daniel Tosh
The best HVAC tech rarely builds the biggest HVAC company.
The companies that scale make different decisions:
- Hire before they feel ready
- Delegate before they fully trust the process
- Stop being the person every job depends on
Most stay small not because they lack skill.
They never stopped being the best employee in their own business.
Inspired by @Brandondoyle Post Card Campaign.
I will be running a similar playbook.
The goal is to acquire SEO clients via free website offer.
The edge will be sending postcards IRL and then follow-up with a "warm call".

Pessimists are usually correct. Optimists are usually rich.

Dale Carnegie's "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" is a timeless classic.
Just took @awilkinson personality test on a whim to see what kind of "Career Interest" align with my personality.
Well I just got a life assessment. Haha.
Next step is brainstorming business ideas that suit my interest and personality type.

Tried it, no luck. Moving on to cold calls.

Cold Outreach Observation.
This year between Jan-Feb sent 300 personalized emails = 0 replies.
In March made 20 cold calls = spoke with half, quarter expressed interest.
Takeaway: Things that don't scale = better results
