This morning @greaterwgtn emailed about a privacy breach. Unremarkable, except this breach occurred almost exactly 1yr after they last breached my privacy in exactly the same way. Looking forward to the March 2024 apology and commitment to making sure it doesn’t happen again.

Total cease water use notice in place for gisborne. The plan A water plant has failed and plan B plant has failed. The water is not safe to drink.

Stunning early media buzz putting Kevin the giraffe in a compelling position to contend the leadership.

I know it's a lil apples≠oranges, but it still hits pretty hard to realise that it took ~20 months to lose the same number of NZers at the start of the pandemic, as we did in the last week.

First take on the Whanau victory is it’s a major victory for the idea that campaigns matter. She was absolutely everywhere - great street level posters etc. Green Party machine is great at these insurgent campaigns too - reminiscent of Auckland a Central in 2020

I'm a former Labour member who is enthusiastically supporting awesome Labour council candidates like @afnan_alrubayee (Lambton), @RebeccaJEmm (Western) & others .... I am 1000% behind @MissWhanau for Mayor. Progressives of all parties should come together and support her.
Surely this liberates the progressive Labour members and volunteers who want to back @MissWhanau? We're gearing up for a big weekend and would love to have you! torywhanau.co.nz/join-my-tea…

The poll, while unashamedly unscientific, points to Wellington's next mayor being relative unknown Tory Whanau less than a week from voting papers going out. dlvr.it/SY7yVm

Rapt that @NZGreens members have resoundingly returned @jamespeshaw as Co-Leader. 97% - love to see it. #eightmoreyears

Also, called it:
Wait, what? This is not news, but a series of recent statements have me concerned about Paul Eagle's commitment to the housing Wellington desperately needs. Your Labour candidates are all on board for more housing. I will fight hard for it whoever the Mayor is.

Hey @MissWhanau, reckon this might be your billboard that went missing from Helston Rd in J'ville, the one that @pauleaglenz claims to know nothing about? 🤔

In a tightly organised effort ~25+ volunteers supporting @NZGreens candidates (& @MissWhanau, ofc) worked their way from Seatoun to Owhiro Bay to Tawa, erecting billboards from midnight-4am. Most teams reported seeing this disappointing rule breach.
Candidates were allowed to put up signs from midnight on Friday, but when volunteers arrived they found blank wooden frames already in place. dlvr.it/SXR2LL

...so it's gratifying that clear foul play is not being taken lightly by @WgtnCC. We all deserve a level playing field and fair democratic processes, and Wellington deserves honesty, integrity, and fairness from its elected representatives. #whanau4Mayor i.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/…

Packed hall with crowds literally out the door to hear about the change Wellington needs from our next Mayor @MissWhanau. So stoked to be a part of this moment. #Whanau4Mayor

It would be great to see Wellington get its first Māori Mayor this year, and how much cooler would it be for it to be a wāhine(!) Māori Mayor @MissWhanau #whanauformayor

Love to see it; hate to see it not called the "GIB Board". Once-in-a-term opportunity missed.
