The only person responsible for Jason Arday's death is Jason Arday. He was a liar and a fraud who was rightly exposed for what he really was by academics and journalists who were simply doing their job. No one forced Arday to make up lie after lie about his life. He chose to do that. And he did it for financial gain and to bask in the applause it brought him. He used those lies to deceive people into giving him a job he didn't merit, a lucrative book deal he didn't deserve,  as well as fame and adulation he didn't earn.  And when he was found out, he called in the police and expensive lawyers to shut his accusers up, and his failed students who complained were branded as racist. Cambridge University and Jesus College enabled this liar by lauding him as brilliant when he wasn't even mediocre. They should ask themselves why they put their DEI religion above the need for fairness in their appointments processes, above the needs of Arday's students and, most importantly, above the truth. Arday's family and friends should ask themselves why they chose not to speak out to expose his lies which they must have known to be untrue.  The police should ask themselves why they thought it acceptable to investigate an academic and a journalist simply for asking questions about Arday's fraudulent CV.  The BBC and Arday's many other deluded cheerleaders should ask themselves why they were so desperate to believe Arday's outlandish claims in the face of all the evidence. The thousands of the great and the good in academia, politics, media and law who signed the Good Law Project letter backing Arday should ask themselves why, without any justification, they outrageously branded Arday's critics as racists who just wanted to bring down a successful black man because of the colour of his skin. All of these people made their own contributions to Jason Arday's life. And arguably all of them contributed in some way to his decision to take his own life when his fantastical claims were finally exposed for what they really were: lies. The idea that those who exposed Arday as a lying fraudster are to blame for his death is as laughable as it is outrageous.  The idea that Arday was "hounded" to his death is absurd. He chose to tell every single lie himself and he even chose to continue those lies in his resignation letter from Cambridge. He is not the victim. He is the perpetrator. The claim that Arday's downfall was only a front page story because he was black is also ridiculous. He chose to tell the lies that made him a front page story in the first place.  I feel sorry for those who loved him. It is very sad that he has chosen to take his own life rather than face the consequences of his own actions, which should have resulted in a criminal conviction for fraud.  But actions have consequences. This isn't about right and left. It's about right and wrong.

Perhaps the most disturbing element in the fantasy world of (ex)-Professor Jason Arday is not his proclivity to embellish his achievements (or lack thereof) in absurd ways that were easily exposed or Cambridge University’s facile complicity in his whole scam but that a reporter at Times Higher Education, who was looking into anomalies in Mr Arday’s dodgy CV, was subjected to a four-month police investigation for allegedly harassing him. The police need to be held to account for this abuse of police power to thwart a journalist from doing his job.

Well, well, well….
The UK just “smashed” its May temperature record… but here’s the part the Met Office conveniently leaves out: The PREVIOUS record was set in 1922. That’s 104 years ago. Long before SUVs, private jets, or modern CO₂ emissions. Heathrow Airport didn’t even exist yet. The area was literally farmland and small villages. So if a 1922 heatwave could produce nearly identical temperatures in a world with ~130 ppm less CO₂, maybe, just maybe, natural variability plays a much bigger role than the panic merchants admit.

It's not racism, it's culturalism A culture that aims to overpower all other cultures cannot claim to be 'victimised' if people object If this aggressive culture soft-pedalled the beheading threats, people might be less alarmed by it

If British jews are to be held responsible for what happens in Gaza...then by the same reasoning British Muslims should be held responsible for the massacres of Christians by Muslims in Nigeria

Breaking: Muslim terrorists just stormed a Christian village in Nigeria and unleashed pure demonic savagery on innocent families who couldn’t run fast enough to escape. They captured pregnant women and hacked their bellies open with machetes — forcing the young women to witness their own unborn babies die right in front of them as they succumbed to fatal stab wounds. All because they were Christians who refused to convert to Islam. No one in the international community, UN, EU, ICC, or ICJ seems to care. Not even Christian leaders in the West. Please pray for the persecuted Christians in Nigeria. 💔💔💔💔

Ricky Gervais on 60 Minutes Makes a Crystal-Clear Case for Free Speech He put it perfectly: the great thing about freedom of speech is that I can say what I want, and you can say you're offended, and I get to decide whether I care or not. Because let's be honest, there's nothing you can say that someone, somewhere won't find offensive. That's why blasphemy laws are so absurd, they're basically trying to protect an all-powerful deity from having its feelings hurt. At the end of the day, we should be free to criticise any idea. Just because you're offended doesn't automatically mean you're right. Spot on, Ricky. Free speech isn't about never upsetting anyone, it's about the right to speak anyway.

How do you create multiculturalism by assimilating a culture like this ?
Ayham Hussein, un joven iraquí de 15 años, fue juzgado por el tribunal del Estado Islámico por el "delito" de escuchar música durante la oración. Fue decapitado ante una multitud eufórica. ¡Esto es la ley Sharia!

😡👊Taliban:- "Women don’t need education and that even becoming a doctor or master is unnecessary." From an Afghan girl studying in secret: "You say women don’t need education—that becoming a doctor or master is unnecessary. But I study in silence, hiding my books, because I know education is not a luxury—it is survival. If women don’t learn, who will treat our mothers when they are sick? Who will teach the next generation? Who will stand against injustice? You can close schools, but you cannot close our minds. You can ban classrooms, but you cannot stop us from learning. I am an Afghan girl. I study in secret today— so tomorrow, I can stand in the light."

xitter.cf/WHLeavitt/status/20302…

Could someone ask him to read the Koran For example the bits about killing 'infidels', and child marriage. and sexual slavery, and Female Genital Mutilation, and how husbands may beat wives, and worst of all, how dogs should be banned This not standard C of E stuff, is it ? Or even the bit about imposing Islam on the entire country, which might be irony, but I don't think so A lot of British people don't really want any of this, and the problem is that the Koran forbids compromise Not even the Scottish Presbyterians are as assertive as this
Prince William says Islam is the religion of peace The Royal Family has completely lost all sense of defending Christianity and the British people Is it time for a shake up of this institution?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post recirculates Prince William's 2019 speech at Christchurch's Al Noor Mosque, where he stated the Muslim community showed "the true face of Islam as a religion of peace and understanding" after the mosque attacks, where 51 people were killed. royal.uk/speech-duke-ca…

I’m very happy with how the countryside is, everyone is welcome!
There is a new belief taking hold among Britain's institutions, and it is as dangerous as it is dishonest. The countryside, we are told, is "too white." Not green. Not rural. Not historic. White. And therefore a problem to be fixed. This is not satire. It is official policy. Government-commissioned reports now describe England's hills, fields, pubs and footpaths as a "white environment" that risks becoming "irrelevant" unless it is reshaped to reflect a "multicultural nation." Rural authorities are instructed to attract specific ethnic groups, redesign access, rewrite interpretation, adjust behaviour, and rebrand culture itself. All paid for by the taxpayer. This is not about access to nature. No one is barred from walking in the countryside. There are no gates marked by race. What is being objected to is not exclusion, but presence. The wrong people, in the wrong numbers, in the wrong place. Solitude is suspect. Pubs are "problematic." Dogs are a "barrier." Englishness itself is quietly reframed as a form of hostility. Once again, the pattern is familiar. First the language. Then the targets. Then the money. Culture is recast as a flaw. Continuity becomes "dominance." History is reduced to optics. And the group that built, sustained and preserved these places is told – politely, bureaucratically – that it must adapt or move aside. What makes this moment different is that the countryside was never in crisis. Cities were transformed by pressure, density, and policy failure. The countryside was stable. Rooted. That stability is precisely why it is now being targeted. It stands as a rebuke to the idea that constant demographic churn is inevitable or desirable. So it must be corrected. This is demographic engineering, not conservation. The state has decided that England's national landscape reflects the wrong story, and that story must be rewritten. Marketing is altered to show the "right" faces. Outreach is targeted at the "right" groups. Behaviour norms are revised. The land remains, but the meaning is changed. We are told this is because "we all pay for it." But that argument collapses on contact with reality. If something truly belongs to everyone, you do not single out one group as a problem and instruct it to change. You do not racialise shared space. You do not treat existing culture as a barrier to be dismantled. That is not inclusion. It is displacement by policy. The same logic now runs through housing, planning and migration. New towns dropped onto villages. Farmland sacrificed. Infrastructure ignored. Numbers driving everything, consent nowhere. The countryside is no longer a living inheritance but a blank surface onto which officials project social outcomes. And notice the asymmetry. One group must always adapt. One culture must always soften, explain itself, dilute itself. The others are affirmed, accommodated, reassured. That alone tells you this is not about fairness. It is about power. Once you accept that England itself is a racial problem, nothing is safe. Not villages. Not landscapes. Not history. What survives only does so until the next report declares it "unrepresentative." The countryside does not need re-education. It does not need racial quotas, rewritten customs, or academic lectures about who belongs. It needs defending because when the state decides a country's heartland is "too white," it has already decided the country itself must change. And once continuity is broken, it does not return. "The wrong people, in the wrong numbers, in the wrong place. Solitude is suspect. Pubs are "problematic." Dogs are a "barrier." Englishness itself is quietly reframed as a form of hostility."

I have no hope for the UK's future. We haven't seen a single crackdown on pro-Hamas rallies. But UK police have beaten the young & elderly for Iran's Lion & Sun flag. Islamists are now governing the UK, & they will be a stain on history for attacking Iranians. @Keir_Starmer
