From Reddit: "I wanted my agent to draw architecture diagrams for me. Mermaid and PlantUML both had me arguing with a layout engine about where a box goes, and with C4 I spent more time on modeling questions (is this thing a container or a component) than on the system I was trying to describe."
1. I also dislike automatic layout, which is why Structurizr was designed with manual layout as the default approach.
2. Creating a common language is exactly the value that C4 brings to teams. Skip this step at your peril!
A final reminder that the Structurizr cloud service will be shutdown at the end of September - please export your workspaces before then if you would like to retain them.
Migrating to the new Structurizr local (Lite equivalent ... docs.structurizr.com/local) or server (on-premises installation equivalent ... docs.structurizr.com/server) tooling is the recommended migration path, but there are a number of other community tools available (docs.structurizr.com/communi…) that can render Structurizr workspaces.
