This is right. The Shane Gillis monologue was fine and those taking offence need to lighten up. But it wasn’t particularly funny, and he can be very funny. Felt phoned-in and “controversial” for controversy’s-sake - and to that purpose it’s succeeded in spades.
The Shane Gillis bit on SNL wasn't very funny. Not that it was offensive - it was pretty standard observational humor- but it just wasn't that funny. It wasnt well constructed, and the delivery was weak.
Dave Chappelle made the exact same joke here and absolutely killed it. Just an absolute master of his craft.
Holy shit, someone actually got fired from their job for “appropriating” a hairstyle. 🙄
Regular reminder that “cultural appropriation” isn’t ever a thing and so-called progressives who pretend it is give the rest of us a bad name.
By now you’ve probably heard of the woman who was fired from the Baltimore Rock Opera Society following complaints that she culturally appropriated her Burning Man cornrows. Well, we got ahold of an internal document one staffer sent to volunteers and it’s an employment lawyer’s dream come true. Excerpts below or hear all about it on next week’s episode of Blocked and Reported (up now for Primos, unlocked Monday) blockedandreported.org/p/epi…

Once again I ask, where were these Roosters in the 80s and 90s when I was heavily invested in them and constantly disappointed?? Zero premierships in my first 26 years … now 5 in my next 24 when I didn’t really follow any more 🤷
I wasn’t aware it was a position of The @Greens to not provide weapons to Ukraine. I’ve voted them #1 exclusively in my 30+ years of voting but this is a threshold issue. (1/2)

Alright, I’m convinced now. There’s just no way this isn’t an A-grade hoax / troll account. Just way too many bangers to be real.
I definitely would have preferred the underdog Freo but my kids are ecstatic as they play for Fitzroy Lions soccer club so claim a connection to Brissie 🤷♂️ #AFLFreoLions

Very, very hard choices for #5DebutAlbumsFinal
I know these last few games don’t matter but you want to be heading into the playoffs with some momentum. #RedSox pitching is looking strong but hitting 6-62 with RISP in last three series is just pathetic. Gotta turn in on soon.
Here’s my top 10.

Imagine not being terminally online. You’d have no awareness that suggesting you don’t shake an iced coffee during an interview is ableist, or that relaxing a mask mandate in a lesbian bar indicated you aren’t centering revolutionary praxis. I wouldn’t give it up for the world…

Stop treating the adult population like children and stop allowing adults who behave like despotic toddlers to decree what the rest of us are allowed to watch.
