I ran marathons. Everything else is a result of that. Co-owner https://xitter.cf/t.co/ULOtoVg1Pm & @likethewindmag w/ @juliekummer. Might be returning to the roads 😀

Have you got a favourite running top? What is it about that top that you love so much? If you were able to improve on the running tops in your drawer, what would you add or take away?
Absolute shambles at @LeShuttle in Folkstone today. Massive delays (they call them ‘rescheduled crossings’ and - of course - no news whatsoever about what’s happening and when we can expect to cross.

Is @couriermedia magazine still being published? I just looked for a new issue and the last one available was Oct last year. And subscription page is empty. It’ll be a shame if the magazine is no more.
I’ve not watched an @EnglandRugby match live for years - partly don’t have time, partly because I don’t have a TV. But today I am. And I’m really, really sorry to all the England fans of I’ve somehow jinxed the team. This #6nations2023 game is horrible 😞
According to a @guardian article @NadineDorries said that “The people who are paying @GaryLineker’s salary are licence fee payers and they do not all agree with Gary Lineker,” Nadine - as a tax payer, I pay YOUR salary and I think most of what you say is utter shit.
Dear @bookingcom - I booked a hotel through your website. Then cancelled. The hotel charged me the full amount (legally they had the right to do this). You asked me to review the hotel - despite knowing that I cancelled. Now you’re said my review doesn’t meet guidelines. What?
Love Scrapbook Chronicles email from @hiutdenim - open it and click on links every time it arrives. Excited to see something described as 'A handbook that will help you write non-fiction books and blogs' but the link is to the wrong page 😐 Anyone know what the link should be?
I’m looking for great #running #writers. @LikeTheWindMag has been the home of great running-related storytelling for nine years now and we’re only just getting started. All recommendations for writers very welcome …
Anyone who has been on an @easyJet flight knows that there are usually problems with too much cabin baggage. Guess what happened when I called today to swap my large cabin bag for a hold bag (and pay the difference) - yep, policy says “no”. So I’ll turn up for my flight …
And add to the problem. So shortsighted by @easyJet. Corporate greed posing as policy with the passengers absolutely last in the list of priorities. Oh well, shouldn’t be surprised.

📰Following the cut to Trail Runner and Trail Running mags in the UK & US this year, how do you run a print magazine for runners in this era?
I posed that question and more to @simon_freeman on how he has made @LikeTheWindMag a sustainable media operation wearetrailmix.substack.com/p…

45 days in office but will still get £115k of tax payer money for life. there ya go, that's some hustle attitude right there. shhheessshhh. #LizTrussPM #LiztrussResign #eyesonthemarket
There has to be a #generalelectionnow with @trussliz quitting after 45 days of total mayhem. The @Conservatives surely can’t be allowed to just carry on destroying the economy and the environment with impunity.
According to @Twitter I joined the platform 14 years ago. That was such a different time for social media! #MyTwitterAnniversary
Same old same old. But the @guardian is reporting that “Senior Tories hold talks to discuss ousting Liz Truss”. I cannot believe that the @Conservatives get to choose again. Surely picking two disastrous PMs has done quite enough damage?
This is a great question - feels like there’s a huge opportunity for athletics / track & field that just needs to be grasped.
"I’ve never heard or seen so much interest in track and field for such a prolonged period of time, but it raises a question – what do we do with all of that now?"

A Kwarteng should become a unit of time.
"When are you due?"
"2 & a bit Kwartengs"
"Wow! Not long then"
I think this total clusterfuck really goes to show that the entire country of 67,220,000 people cannot have their leaders in effect chosen by 81,000 Tory Party members. This has to stop. There has to be a general election when the leader of the Government is deemed incompetent.
