7/ Clear The Recent File List
Press Windows + R β type recent β Enter.
Every document you've opened, listed. Select all and delete.
Then: File Explorer β the three dots β Options β untick both "Show recently used files" and "Show frequently used folders" β Clear.
Why It's All There
None of this is a bug. Windows keeps it to make things load faster and to fill in your recent files.
The problem is that it survives everything you do to clean up. Deleting the file doesn't touch the thumbnail. Uninstalling the program doesn't touch the Prefetch record.
Standard cleanup tools reach a fraction of these locations.
