This was Yildiz and Serhat's story. Everything is there, from the announcements made by Birsen officially confirming Damla's casting as the female lead and Ilhan Şen as the male lead, to the promotional photos of the series. These are irrefutable proofs that they were, are, and will always be the main characters of Halef. Damla even moved to Urfa three months in advance to learn the local dialect and worked incredibly hard to prepare herself for portraying Yildiz. She was so excited and full of hope. But then came the most destructive dark cloud, known as Aybüke Pusat. After being dismissed from Teşkilat amid allegations of nepotism and favoritism, she joined Halef and attempted to take away Damla's rightful place. She, her agent, and her team launched a systematic attack. They incited AP's misogynistic, racist, and xenophobic fans and allegedly paid bloggers and entertainment gossip pages to publicly attack and humiliate Damla and her character, Yildiz. To this day, they continue manipulating public perception to portray Aybüke as the victim. They distorted Yildiz's story and continue pushing the narrative that Yildiz was a mistress, while mocking second wives. People who don't even watch the series and don't take the time to verify the truth believe them. They think AP was the one who was wronged and that Yildiz was a mistress. But the truth is that AP wanted to take Damla's rightful place, and the script was changed in her favor. Yildiz has never, ever been a mistress. She has barely shared three kisses with Serhat, and even by episode 41, she is still a virgin. Damla was the victim in this story. AP's fans and her agent can promote as many campaigns as they want and manipulate public perception, but nothing will ever change the fact that Yildiz is loved and that Damla will shine wherever she goes. AP's fans, celebrate and rejoice over Halef coming to an end. But history will remember you as one of the most toxic fandoms, and AP as an actress whose place in the industry, in the eyes of her critics, is attributed more to nepotism than to acting talent. Everyone who was involved in this injustice from the very first season will eventually face the consequences.
