Super happy to announce that, we, the three Serverless musketeers (@gojkoadzic, @slobodan_ and me), are writing a new book “Real-time GraphQL applications with AppSync” :)

Technical moats are mostly over at this point. If you’re building something that is meant to be durable, the only moats now are:
• Proprietary data
• Network effects
• A physical component
As @swardley predicted… SpimeScript
After six years in stealth, Atomic Machines is out. Our mission: on-demand, universal command of matter. First beachhead: the Matter Compiler, an AI-native manufacturing system that builds working micro-machines from code alone. No per-product tooling. No process development. Different code, different machine.

Users now discover products through AI agents. Our apps need to evolve so that AI agents can sign up and show our product's value before a human visits. This looks like a natural PLG extension: provide value fast, then let an agent sell the "Aha!" moment.

I built a @cursor_ai client that runs inside World of Warcraft as an addon so I can keep an eye on my agents and prompt them when i need.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FROM HUGGING FACE TODAY:
We're unveiling Microduck 🐥🤖
It's a tiny $399 open-source robot you can teach new tricks with reinforcement learning. It can walk, pick things up, get back up when it falls, and even roller-skate.
Welcome to the era of open-source affordable robots to democratize physical AI and world models!

What can Competitor Tracker do? Let me show you!
We watch more than 2,000 companies (and adding more daily; the goal is to have 5,000+ in a few weeks). The weekend crawl discovered 4,333 changes (1,920 are high-priority ones), peaking at 656 page changes in one hour.
We crawl hardest on weekends, sites are quieter, snapshots are cleaner. However, the market doesn't take weekends off. We know that because we caught Runway mid-migration to cfo_ai.
Here are the 5 most interesting changes we caught this weekend:
1️⃣ G-P put a public price on enterprise EOR: $599/employee/month, one plan. And they weren't alone: CoAd, OnTheClock, and Employment Hero all published payroll pricing in the same sweep. The EOR/payroll space went price-transparent in one week. 🪧
2️⃣ Relay_app announced it's shutting down. Free users lose access on Aug 15, paying customers on Sep 14. An AI workflow automation player leaving the field. ☠️
3️⃣ Cloudchipr, the cloud cost-optimization tool, optimized the cost by doubling its own price. The Pro plan went from $445 → $890/mo. 💸
4️⃣ Okta shipped agent-to-agent connections, GA. Agents can now securely call other agents under admin policy. The identity layer for the agent economy is being poured right now. 🤖
5️⃣ Runway, caught mid-migration to cfo_ai. The login, docs, and sales domains had already been moved. Websites often talk before the press release. The migration now seems to be finished. 🕵️

You can try Competitor Tracker for free. The first 25 coins 🪙 are on the house and cover 5 competitors for 5 months (1 coin tracks 1 competitor for 1 month).
Signing up and setting up the system takes just a few minutes. 👉 competitortracker.io

Building an AI demo is easy. Building a full product is still hard and takes weeks or months (luckily not years anymore).
@lavcrnobrnja and I built our new product Competitor Tracker with a pack of AI agents (mostly hands-off, but never unsupervised).
Here's the origin story (with the architecture, workflows, what didn't work, etc.):

A while ago, @lavcrnobrnja and I started building a small prototype: an app that tracks your competitors and emails you the most important changes every Monday. With help from a few people, it started working about a year ago. Early users liked it, so we turned it into a product.
While building and testing it, we began tracking changes across many industries, and the initial results are quite interesting. It’s been clear for a while that B2B is embracing AI. Now we have some numbers.
Here’s a snapshot across 20 selected industries (754 tracked products, charts below):
📊 1 in 4 products added or at least mentioned an MCP, an AI agent, or both in the last 3 months.
🏆 Customer Support, Workflow Automation, Sales Engagement, and AI Meeting Notes are clearly leading. HR-related industries are still lagging, though a few are starting to move.
🤖 MCP has been around for a while, but agents seem to be overtaking it now, running ~2x ahead this quarter.
Adoption is uneven but accelerating, and AI integrations are shifting quickly from a competitive advantage to a baseline expectation.
💸 There are early signs that pricing is following the agent trend, with credits and usage-based models.
☠️ Some companies are doubling down on AI and quietly dropping other verticals or product lines. Too early to call it a trend, but it’s worth watching.

We were very early huh @simalexan
We want to hook it up to our conversational programming system on top of the AWS serverless ecosystem. Sent requests through the form, I will shoot you an email. Here is an early demo youtu.be/XMrtHQ6ohcg

I built a Claude Code notification system that uses Warcraft III Peon voice lines.
It's probably the stupidest thing I've ever shipped. And according to everybody that has used it, it's also incredibly useful.
(sound on)

Cowork but with local models not to send all your data to a remote cloud!
Replying to @claudeai
In Cowork, you give Claude access to a folder on your computer. Claude can then read, edit, or create files in that folder.
Try it to create a spreadsheet from a pile of screenshots, or produce a first draft from scattered notes.

AWS Meetup Belgrade Dec 25 5:30 PM- join us at our in-person event at the end of this year. We will review the latest releases from AWS straight from Las Vegas re:invent that has just finished. It will be a friendly, open discussion on what's cool, what is boring and general direction AWS is going. After almost 11 years, it's time for a new organization team to take over the @JSBelgrade meetup.
The journey started in December 2014, when @ispijac_kafe and I decided to organize our first JavaScript meetup and start the first (as far as I know) JavaScript meetup group in Belgrade. Even in the first meetup, we met some awesome people who quickly became friends, including @simalexan (who also became our coorganizer), @dejan_dimic, and several others.
Everything went smoothly until covid. We had many monthly meetups (with amazing speakers, the list would be too long), countless Coffeejs meetups, and some great free workshops. We met many awesome people. And, I personally learned a lot! However, after covid, many things changed, and with our limited free time, the meetup was no longer a priority. We organized a few events, just to keep it alive.
And then, last year, @simalexan and I met Ilija. He just started the Belgradejs meetup group, and we recognized the enthusiasm and passion we had when we started the JS Belgrade meetup. In the next year and a half, Ilija and his coorganizers, Sanel and Nikola, organized many other great events. We even organized one together in April. Finally, a few months ago, @simalexan and I sat down with Ilija, Sanel, and Nikola and agreed to merge our meetup groups. They'll continue as the main JS Belgrade organizers, and we'll help with everything we can.
I hope this marks the start of the next 10 years of JS Belgrade meetup, with many, many more events, workshops, and amazing people, of course.
Btw, join us on Thursday to meet the new organizing team: meetup.com/js-belgrade-meetu…
Also, if you want to speak at one of our future meetups, let us know!
Last week I enabled @kirodotdev AI Steering to help with build vs buy decisions and use Wardley Maps principles when building products
