I saw the headline of this article and my knee-jerk reaction was "fuck off"! I know plenty of entrepreneurs who bootstrap and scrape to make their vision come to life.

Anybody in my network doing freelance work around .NET stack? I have received a copy of some code for an app that is supposed to work. But I have no idea how to make IIS (is that the right tool) do something with it.

During COVID I was dealing with some serious malaise. When the kids went back to school I realized, if the kids don't have school I feel like I am working on Saturday every day.

I don't advocate for invasive data collection. I have spoken out against Google's practices for it for years.
But it infuriates me that Apple wants to try to con people into thinking they are making "privacy changes" for any reason other than to deny competitors access to data.
So when I read about Google Docs using canvas to render, all I can think of is all the text that used to be trapped inside Flash Player.

In 2008 Microsoft bid $44.6B to buy yahoo and failed. Today Yahoo and AOL were sold in a package deal for $5B.
That's $1 for every AOL installer disk that was used as a coaster.
It took a week, but I now have my whole platform scripted for setup with AWS CDK. User and Certificate management, VPC, elastic beanstalk, s3 buckets with cloud front distribution, rds databases the whole mess.
I have a camera and ring light setup for meetings and video recording.
It's funny but I leave the little preview screen on because it makes me feel like someone else is here with me. It's out of the way so it's kinda like when I used to see reflections of coworkers.
Having spent the last week doing a deep dive on AWS CDK I will now be offering consulting services for the bargain sum of $1000 per hour.

Long frustrating day. I have been working on an app for 3 months. Deploying using Digital Oceans' new apps platform. I've been so happy.
Everything came crashing down today because they don't allow the configuration (or disable) their CORS security.

@maxlynch I found your nextjs ionic app on github. Do you think I could just use next to generate the HTML pages so I can setup OG meta and just include the ionic app via a wrapper? Your not using SSR, but its close
