Found out about ethical clothing company @silverstickuk thanks to a recent #rewilding read by @Birder_Griffon - got these lovely socks for my dad’s Christmas gift, with some of the proceeds going to rewilding projects. I don’t normally buy new clothing but this was an exception!

A pair of @mattsewell Hawfinch’s flying off to a customer today. A perfect Springtime purchase. The birdsong is so uplifting at this time of year. The nightingales are back here in Sussex, you can hear them at @kneppwilding, where Silverstick is stocked in the shop.

Normally I fill Tree Sparrow feeders up in the dark because it is the only time I can do it. At the weekend I got to fill some feeders in daylight. I had 15 minutes spare and there was even enough light to take a few quick photos. Tree Sparrows are worth saving aren't they!

It should be noted, however, that Wistman's Wood is presently only a paltry 3 hectares (7.5 acres in area), and, done right, its size would be expanded by a factor of 10 at least.

Finally some ☀️ for our summer clothing! Compared to our heavier brushed fabrics, our organic cotton loopback sweats and hoodies are knit at a slightly lower tension. So they come out at 300gms with more drape. Ideal for layering in sunny weather.
