The wildly over-the-top reaction to Britain's tiny Israeli settlements trade ban – including hyperbolic media inflation of minimal risks and nonsense warnings – is a sign of just how much international impunity Israel has enjoyed, and for how long

So Nigel Farage has declared Reform would declare a national emergency on day one so that they can overrule the judiciary and force legislation through. This seems to be remarkably like the enabling act that Hitler and the Nazis used to grab power. share.google/HZlcMaYHj1VDknt…

The worst type of information distortion the BBC do isn't the biased way they manipulate reports. Omission, not acknowledging something exists, is the most damaging thing they do. A perfect example from today's news. The PM has tough financial decisions to make. His only options according to the BBC: raise taxes on all of us or cut spending hitting all of us. Implication being that we, the public, have to carry this burden. No one else. No mention that other options exist: - Wealth tax on the richest - Financial transaction tax - Higher VAT on luxury goods - Ending corporate welfare for big companies like the major supermarkets - Ending tax subsidies for fossil fuel giants - Closing loopholes on corporate profit shifting - £500bn uncollected by HMRC since 2010 And don't assume this is just the BBC. Sky, ITV, LBC and every national newspaper are doing exactly the same. These alternative choices simply don't exist in the national conversation. Nobody wants a city on Mars. Nobody wants AI in every app. Nobody wants data centers in space. Nobody wants humanoid robots or flying cars. We want clean water. We want a stable climate. We want a habitable planet. We want wildlife to survive. We want to live.

Sainsbury's made a £1bn profit last year. Paying 10,000 work experience kids the minimum wage for six months would cost it less than 0.8% of that.

Climate-flation is a sizeable slice of this, and is getting worse. Those who oppose net zero conveniently forget this.

Well after that emergency alert went off for real across the UK, I am aware that a lot of people may have a phone hidden or concealed at home, especially if they are a victim of domestic abuse. They last thing that they will want is for their ‘secret’ phone to start making a noise and giving away its location. You can switch these alerts off by following the instructions at womensaid.org.uk/uk-emergenc… Please let others know about this. Even if it doesn’t affect you directly, you may have a friend or follower who could do with this information.

Here's the thing guys: we already paid you for clean water and no pollution. If you failed to provide it and then ask for more money this is what is known as "a scam".
