Gunn says all three “couldn’t be more false.” He also revealed that Peter Safran only just saw the first Director’s Cut of Man of Tomorrow on Friday. That means the supposed test screening couldn’t have happened. As for Alcock, this is the first direct word from DC’s side since the firing rumor took off. She still hasn’t explained why the Supergirl posts disappeared. And Gunn hasn’t addressed the Instagram wipe itself. Before cameras rolled on the film Black Hawk Down, the actors cast as Delta Force operators were sent to Fort Bragg for an intensive hands-on training course with Special Forces. Actors including Eric Bana, William Fichtner and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau trained for roughly two weeks in weapons handling, explosive breaching, CQB, and urban movement through a mock cinderblock village. Instructors walked them through real techniques used by Tier 1 operators and repeatedly stressed the need to “get it right,” especially because many of the trainers had direct ties to the soldiers who fought in Mogadishu. The experience was far more practical than classroom briefings. Actors fired grenade launchers, practiced door charges, learned fast-rope basics, and ran simulated urban scenarios under the guidance of actual Special Forces soldiers. That immersion is one reason the film’s Delta scenes still feel grounded and authentic more than two decades later.

The Batman Part II is moving again. Steven Soderbergh is stepping in to help finish the movie while Matt Reeves deals with an ongoing family matter. Deadline reports the Ocean’s Eleven and Traffic director will handle the final weeks of principal photography. Reeves is not leaving the movie. He and Soderbergh will stay in contact through the rest of the shoot, and Reeves is expected to return for post-production when he’s ready. Soderbergh says the goal is simple: Generate footage that “will integrate seamlessly” with what Reeves already shot. DC Studios says the two directors will work closely with the cast and crew to finish Reeves’ vision. The move comes after production paused earlier this month. Peter Safran recently said there was “no scenario” where filming wouldn’t resume and called the footage DC has seen “absolutely fantastic.” Our Paramount insider has gone even further, saying the studio expects a “mega hit” and that the dailies are “blowing people’s minds.” The Batman Part II is still dated for February 18, 2028. Milly Alcock has wiped Supergirl from her Instagram grid. Fans noticed Thursday that the actress removed her old Supergirl posts, including the January 2024 announcement where she thanked James Gunn for casting her as Kara. That post had more than 82,000 likes. The photo of Alcock holding the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic is gone too. A few older Reels remain, but the main grid is now clear of Supergirl. Alcock hasn’t explained why. The timing is hard to ignore. Supergirl finished with just $126.4 million worldwide, making it the lowest-grossing DC movie ever. Its HBO Max run also fell to last place on Nielsen’s streaming movie chart. This week, TheWrap pointed to Supergirl as one of the movies that dragged down Warner Bros.’ final quarterly earnings. And there’s already a rumor that Alcock’s Supergirl will be purposely kept in the background of the Man of Tomorrow marketing. She is still expected to appear in the Superman sequel.
