Make that 2-1,609.
Since 1997-98, teams trailing by 7+ points in final 40 seconds of 4Q/OT in #NBAPlayoffs, were 0-1,609.
Make that 1-1,609 now.

It’s not about the “hand” you’re dealt with, it’s about what you do with it.
One year ago a lump showed up on my middle finger. It was right before our CINCH Tucson Camp, which I am working right now as I write this post.
During the camp I drove the car as sag as I hadn’t ridden my bike. My body ached, I felt exhausted, and mentally foggy. I coached from the side of the road, took photos, and in the evenings gave lectures on how to be your best.
But I was far from my best. I was a walking contradiction of what I believed in, what my business does for people, and how to view the sport of cycling.
After that camp I found out that the tumor was cancer. That phone call changed everything for me. That day I stopped drinking, began training again, started sleeping, began eating right, and keeping my stress in check.
On May 8th my middle finger, knuckle, and middle of my hand was amputated. The cancer had not spread and this was the move to prevent it from coming back.
I responded to this new adversity by vowing to train harder than ever and return to competition. Competition to me represented accountability in my effort and progression. I signed up for 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo, a 24 hour mountain bike race to make a timeline for me to be able to use my hand at a high level.
I am proud to report that I did take the start. I raced hard, I struggled, and I hit my targets. My hand did well on all five laps that I was able to do. I did one of the fastest lap times of all the pros there, one of the fastest lap times in the history of the race, and my combined lap times were on par with the best riders in the race. My team also won our age category in the 5 person co-ed team and finished 5th overall of all the team variations. Proudly, I think we were the only co-ed team with two women on the roster.
On my final lap of 24 hours I experienced the same feeling I did riding into the Champs d’elysee in the Tour de France. Cycling is truly incredible.
I just want to say thank you for all your support and encouragement.
It’s not about the “hand” you are dealt with, it’s about what you do with it.
ALL IN.
