Shriners Children’s is deeply saddened by the passing of RJ Mitte, who made a lasting impression on so many through his talent, determination and advocacy.
RJ received care for cerebral palsy at Shriners Children’s Shreveport and later became a patient ambassador and spokesperson for the organization’s anti-bullying campaign. By sharing his story, RJ helped build understanding and championed a more inclusive world that celebrates children of all abilities. He will be remembered fondly by the many people whose lives he touched.
