So these landlords are due for major losses on their investments. This is the price of speculative investments - sometimes, you lose your shirt.
They should dramatically write down the value of these properties and the state should buy them on the cheap & rent at social rents.

This is a LIE, @jonathanchait. I am not opposed to AI regulations, I have been consistently and explicitly BOTH/AND in favoring each and every opportunity under existing and potential new laws to rein in the AI industry.
