A group of Europe’s biggest mobile operators are in early talks to create a consortium to bid on satellite spectrum and offer direct-to-mobile service, which would rival Elon Musk’s Starlink service on the continent, sources said bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Replying to @fundstrat
@fundstrat says about D2D connectivity that “the addressable market is far bigger than the existing business.” He’s right. As connectivity is solved TAM naturally grows. Just wait till the market learns who the actual leader is in D2D technology and global partnerships $ASTS $SPCX
Tom Lee: Starlink offering mobile service could unlock an entirely new industry. "Omni connectivity anywhere in the world on a device." Machine-to-machine communication needs everything always connected. "It may unlock a whole new industry around things that have to stay connected all the time." Starlink alone could become "a multi-trillion dollar business." FT @GavBlaxberg @fundstrat @BitMNR @WOLF_Financial.

$ASTS: The amount of glazing from the tech bros and VC circle for Starlink D2C without mentioning the company that literally invented the technology and is far ahead across all metrics is an absolute joy to watch
If I was a mobile CEO, my bet would be that terrestrial networks will win in high population dense areas and direct to cell satellite everywhere else. The winning network is going to be hybrid, and the sat network has the power because there is only good one but many terrestrial cell networks. So the winning strategy for a legacy mobile carrier would be to strike a deep exclusive partnership with @starlink, merge the networks, and mog all the other mobile carriers. QED?

$ASTS Launch of BB11-13 added to ASTsats Objects aren't named / classified by the Space Force as of yet and may include the rocket body from launch. I will rename / reclassify in the coming days once we get official word. Until then they are on the map which is all that matters

Button (downgraded Kenny G algo) giving investors another chance to buy $ASTS under $70 as it’s totally unaware that $SPCX just implicitly confirmed that $TMUS is switching to ASTS, effectively giving them a monopoly on the most valuable mobile market in the world. The strategic value of ASTS to MNOs cannot be overstated. There is no other option for MNOs. Furthermore, if SPCX is willing to spend even more CAPEX to pursue this market (including building out terrestrial to compete) it should be a strong signal at just how massive the TAM is. Call me crazy but my opinion is ASTS should triple when the market wakes up to this reality. And that’s probably too low. We’re talking about one of the only, if not the only, company in the world that offers MNOs and governments globally the ability to compete with Starlink. What value do you put on that?

$ASTS: The value of @AST_SpaceMobile should be rapidly multiplying on the news of @SpaceX confirming that they will compete directly against MNOs and seek to steal customers. $T, $VZ, and $TMUS all went down in response. Yes, even @TMobile. $ASTS should be shooting upwards as they are quickly becoming MNOs' most important strategic asset to counter @Starlink. 🤝
$ASTS: 🚨 SPACEX PLANS TO BUILD OUT TERRESTRIAL NETWORK TO COMPETE DIRECTLY AGAINST AT&T, VERIZON AND T-MOBILE Gwynne Shotwell: "Uh, the spectrum that we purchased from EchoStar does have terrestrial components, so we definitely intend to build out terrestrial. Um, the terrestrial component. So you will have not only the, um, the capacity from the satellites themselves, but you will have, um, a build out of the terrestrial, um, basically the hardware and systems necessary to make a true mobile service exactly what you want it to be. Um, I'm not going to talk about the CapEx for that. Um, it's a little. Well, I don't want to say it's immature. I'm just going to say I'm not going to talk about the CapEx for that right now. Um, but but let's talk a little. Let me give a little hint. And that is you could put a base station. Um, uh, a cellular base station on, uh, the basically the gear that holds a Starlink broadband dish. So you can have kind of these little femtocells, uh, around the country, and you deploy that as you need it. You don't have to necessarily spend, you know, ten or many billions of dollars in low band spectrum all up front before you deploy your system. Um, so that's why I don't want to talk about the CapEx for building out the terrestrial, because we have a lot of really kind of great and new ideas for how we're going to do that. And I think it will be quite CapEx efficient." Elon Musk: "Yeah, that that point is probably worth, uh, just a few more words, which is that, um, because this is quite an important point. Uh, you know, instead of having to, uh, deploy these, these very expensive and difficult to locate, uh, large cellular base stations, uh, we we feel reasonably confident that we can deploy a large number of, sort of small, small stations. Essentially, they're really just Starlink dishes that also provide connectivity in the mobile spectrum bands, um, and have them be all over the place. Um, and the Starlink antennas are located in, uh, on the roofs of, of houses and businesses. So they're, you know, it's, uh, they've got a sort of a clear view, uh, to, you know, for, for providing connectivity directly to the cell, to cell phones on the ground, um, and in fact, providing connectivity, that is, we think, probably better and higher bandwidth than what is currently available from cellular providers. So this is a this is an important point."

Starlink is already the world's most valuable telecom operator. It's bigger than AT&T, Verizon, China Mobile, and T-Mobile combined... with only ~0.5% of the industry's global revenue. Such an incredible business.

It's starting to happen. The prep for the production colonoscopy is hitting. Time to launch! $ASTS
BlueBirds 8, 9, and 10 are now fully deployed to their full size, each the world's largest communications arrays operating in Low Earth Orbit. We invented a new way to design, manufacture at scale, deploy, and fly lightweight composite stackable architecture combined, with the world's largest and most advanced direct- to-device and radar phased-array with the ability to launch them in groups of 3, 5, 6, or 8 on a single launch. Our BlueBird platform brings together high-performance space-based cellular broadband with peak data rates approaching 200 Mbps, space AI edge computing, and many mission-critical government applications, all on one platform where the largest-ever size matters! BlueBirds 11, 12 and 13 are already at the Cape preparing for their imminent launch. BlueBirds 14, 15 and 16 are right behind them. Production has already moved through satellite 42. All of this is happening in Texas. 🤠🇺🇸📶🌎📱
