Really sad to see the end of these brands on the high st. I know in time the #britishhighst will come back stronger with more relevant store, but right now, 10,000 could lose their jobs. #shoplocal #shopblack

Agreed. However we are social animals & enjoy shopping, the high st is going to look very different however we are optimistic that it’s going to be better
This pandemic is accelerating a Darwinian movement in retail. Strong getting stronger and the weak are falling away. A bit of a moment that Boohoo, the online fast fashion retailer, is buying the rights to 243 year old Debenhams. No stores involved in the deal.

I am honored to be the first male spouse of an American President or Vice President. But I'll always remember generations of women have served in this role before me—often without much accolade or acknowledgment. It’s their legacy of progress I will build on as Second Gentleman.

I basically want to cry. You can’t imagine what we’re seeing inside hospitals today. The scale of the suffering. The horror of it all. No-one who saw it would EVER dismiss the dying for being too old or too unwell. Never. They’d do everything they could to help. This is so wrong.

Why are the Nightingale hospitals not running to capacity? Why are our NHS doctors and staff having to live with this horror, expected to chose between life and death. Govt must create resources now. Not one life regardless of age should be dismissed.

Word of the day is ‘circumlocutionist’: one who consistently speaks in a roundabout way in order to avoid addressing a question directly.

It’s not. Businesses prevented from making a living but no extra help! This has repercussions for #Retail clothing. The shops will reopen but we need buyers who won’t buy if there is no where to go. Our restaurants and pubs have spent many £s on screens etc. #moneyforNorthWest
Places put into Tier 3 today will get no additional business support funding than those in Tier 1 or Tier 2. Can that possibly be fair? #LevellingDown
Now thats a protected little fashionista 👍🏽
Sad to see so many independent businesses under this strain. We must support them 👍🏽#saveourlocalshops #fashion #beauty
If ever there was a moment when beauty needed our help, this is it. It’s a Save our Salons moment according to many in the industry. trib.al/pmfq8uq
