Today I learned that the reason J. Cole got emotional the other night performing ‘Love Yourz’ in the now viral clip was because of a kid named Collin Griffin, who he met in 2017 when Collin was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Collin’s Make-A-Wish was to meet Cole, and when he passed away the next year, Cole was even mentioned in his obituary.
Collin met Cole backstage at a show in DC, and Dreamville took care of him with merch and the like. Cole even took the shoes off his feet and signed them for Collin, asking him to work hard to beat cancer.
Collin told Cole that his music has been inspirational for him and helped him get through this difficult time, to which Cole responded "No, you inspire me." Collin broke down in tears.
Fast forward to Cole’s Cleveland show over the weekend, Collin’s family attended and held up pictures of him, which Cole called out right before performing ‘Love Yourz.’
Collin loved to draw, had a great passion for music, and he lived each day to the fullest. RIP 💙🕊️

Allow me to help you better understand Megan’s situation.
Megan using Interscope for distro and UMPG for pub admin is NOT uncommon.
In fact, using 2 entities under the same parent company has multiple advantages, like streamlining sync clearance (since both sides benefit)…

Jonathan Majors deserved to lose his career just off the strength that he told the white woman that he wanted her to be his Coretta Scott King as though he’d done anything in his life comparable to Martin Luther King Jr. while being mean bts. The public abuse was the last straw.

"Nothing wrong with using new technology as a tool. Keep up with the times or get left behind."
Artists keep repeating this line. It matches the messaging pushed by AI companies and their paid spokesmen, like Timbaland and will i am.
It's fear-mongering and should be rejected.
Fenix Flexin now confirms he used AI for his hit song ‘RUBBERZ’ 💀
“Never said I didn’t use AI, I said it had nun to do with [the] recording process … Ain’t nothing wrong with using new technology as a tool keep up with the times or get left behind.”
Earlier this year, he denied any use of AI being used for the track …
Every time i find my way back here it always feels like I’m walking into a music media funeral. Hearing about those mass layoffs is sad, per usual.
God bless the people who still do this consistently. We need it.

When D4vd was charged with murdering Celeste Rivas Hernandez, we launched an investigation, contacted more than a hundred people & got many to share exclusive details of unsettling encounters
“Jane,” who was a minor when D4vd was 18, says he formed an intense online relationship with her before his alleged abuse of Celeste began. In one exchange, she says, he joked about “cutting my arms off”
“It’s really eerie to look back on,” Jane told me. When she learned Celeste’s arms had been severed, “my heart dropped," she said
We also share how D4vd (David Burke) allegedly acted on the "One More Dance" video shoot leading up to the alleged murder. It stayed with two crewmembers

Some sources are speaking for the first time about their interactions with the singer accused of murdering Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
Jane, identified by a pseudonym to protect her privacy, was a minor when D4vd fostered an intense online relationship with her.
During one interaction, he said something ominous, she recalls. “He joked about him and [his alter ego] Itami doing a violent act toward me, cutting my arms off.”
