#WATCH | Agartala: Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barma says, "...Before the partition of India, we had decided that we would become an integral part of India. At that time, the Government of India should have pushed for the inclusion of parts of the Kingdom of Tripura, which the Maharaja and the Rajmata were subsequently ready to merge with India. But the Government of India, for whatever reason, did not include parts of East Pakistan, which today could have been very beneficial for our state, our Northeast, and our country. Today, we are landlocked... Another chance came in 1971, when 90,000 Pakistani soldiers were in India's custody; we could have negotiated at that time. But we did not do it even then. Opportunities like this do not come repeatedly, and we lost this opportunity. This is a historical blunder. I do not want to politically blame anyone, but we must all accept the fact that today the Northeast is geographically isolated because the Government of India did not press hard enough to acquire territories that should have been part of India...An inseparable, historical part of ours was separated, and now it should be rejoined. Why should we only talk about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir? A lot has happened in our East as well, which was wrong."
#WATCH | Delhi: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey says, "...My view is that the time has come not just to reclaim Pakistan-occupied Kashmir from Pakistan. It is also time to reclaim the territories that Nehru ji forcibly handed over, whether it is Noakhali, Chittagong Port or Sylhet."
"Nehru ji was desperate to become Prime Minister. India became independent in 1947, but he did not become Prime Minister on August 15, 1947. He became Prime Minister on September 2, 1946. As soon as he became Prime Minister, the Muslim League started Direct Action. In October, on October 15, 1946, a massive massacre of Hindus took place in Noakhali, a Hindu-majority area. Around 10,000 Hindus were killed in a single day. But he did not go there as Prime Minister. He remained concerned about how the Muslim League could become part of his government. The three areas, Noakhali, Sylhet and Chittagong Port, were part of the Tipra Kingdom. Tripura was earlier known as Tipra. Its king, Bir Bikram Singh, was continuously fighting with Nehru, questioning how he could negotiate over his territory. He would ask: How can you hand over Noakhali to Pakistan? How can you hold a referendum on Sylhet? How can you hold a referendum on Chittagong? This is my kingdom. I will decide whether it remains part of India, Pakistan or becomes an independent state... Sardar Patel sent the Army, and Tripura became part of India in October 1948. Maharani Kanchan Prabha signed the Instrument of Accession in October 1948, following which Tripura became part of India...It was precisely because Chittagong Port went away that the development of the entire Northeast was halted. If the Northeast appears backwards today, if it faces problems, if we are unable to fully utilise its mines, minerals and gas, and if the region still feels disconnected, it is only because we no longer have that port. This is the time to reclaim Chittagong, Noakhali and Sylhet as well."

VIDEO | Mumbai: Inspector General (Operations) of the National Security Guard (NSG), Major General Mukesh Kumar Bhanwala, says, "A key pillar of the Government of India's 'Prahar' policy is ensuring a swift and proportionate response to any terrorist incident. The National Security Guard (NSG) is the primary agency responsible for carrying out kinetic operations in this regard. Furthermore, the policy focuses on enhancing the capabilities of police forces across various states and Union Territories. The objective is to promote a 'whole-of-nation' approach, enabling state-level agencies and federal forces to work together to counter such incidents. The exercise we witnessed, titled 'Sarvatra Pratighat', represents an initial step towards achieving this approach. It involved a collaborative effort by all security stakeholders in Mumbai, including the NSG, the Army, the Air Force, the Navy's MARCOS, the Mumbai Police, Force One, Mumbai Police Quick Response Teams (QRTs), the CISF and the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Through this exercise, we have successfully validated several key parameters related to counter-terrorism operations."

This shows a lack of interest in the uniform worn.
#WATCH | Amritsar, Punjab: Harmanbir Singh Gill, Police Commissioner, Amritsar, says, "We have recovered two grenades and twelve pistols of various calibres. Eleven arrests have been made. Two of those arrested are juveniles, and the rest fall into an age group under 24. We have obtained clear information regarding their intended targets, as well as the source from which they procured these weapons and grenades. Our investigation and interrogation have revealed who dropped off the items and the intended recipients for further supply. We are working on this. We are proceeding with great care to ensure there is no loss of life or damage to property."
On whether the weapons came from Pakistan, he says, "Yes, they all arrived from Pakistan via drones, and the group retrieved them from the border area. They intended to supply them further; in fact, they had already stashed them at a couple of locations. Our operation is currently ongoing."

#WATCH | Delhi: Additional Commissioner of Police Sanjay Bhatia says, "... Our police unit has achieved a major breakthrough by arresting seven people, including the mastermind, Brij Lal, in a Rs4 crore cyber fraud case. We received a complaint that an NBFC's server had been attacked, leading to loans being disbursed into fraudulent bank accounts. We immediately launched an investigation, traced the accounts, and managed to freeze nearly Rs2 crore of the Rs4 crore defrauded amount. During the investigation, we examined the mule account holders and traced the various links in the network. We have arrested seven people so far, including Brij Lal, who allegedly used six associates to open bank accounts across different banks. We have recovered around 45 cheque books, several mobile phones, and documents allegedly used to open fraudulent accounts and transfer money. The money was withdrawn and handed over to an associate, after which it was transferred abroad through cryptocurrency. We have traced the suspected crypto wallet and are investigating the exchange and other links in the case."
