Universities in India have been systematically dismantled, students have had their futures destroyed, and institutions serving marginalised communities have been systematically targeted for years. JNU, AMU, TISS were never isolated incidents; they were chapters of the same story. If we speak up today on the hunger strike by Sonam Wangchuk and other students, the draconian use of power to silence the protests, let it not be because this is finally a "safe" issue to support, but because we recognise the pattern and understand that an attack on one student's right to education is ultimately an attack on everyone's.

The term Hinduism is a modern label for Brahmanism, originally Neo-Brahminism, which is now referred to as Sanatan.
As people became aware, it was no longer clever to name a religion after a single caste, so it was simply called Hindu.
