I frequently see people tweeting about how neither them nor their partner wanted to take the jab but the one with the higher paying job would go through with it to keep their income and benefits and I’d gladly live like a hippy in a van before allowing my partner to get the jab.

The person who provides for you is more valuable than the provisions themselves. Fixating on the resources someone provides rather than valuing the person who provides it, is like starving a goose who lays golden eggs because you were too distracted by the eggs themselves.
