Not a bad addition to your local village club… 🏏
Former Sri Lanka International & cricketing legend Kumar Sangakkara has turned his attention to the village green as he’s been stepping out for 5th tier Dorset side (Shillingstone Cricket Club).
Bowling, batting and the part time groundsman, Kumar has dived into the word of village cricket & we love to see it!

Away to Wimborne 3s at Colehill this weekend. The legend Ian Paulley is back, with all-rounder Wilbur also back in the fold. Can the mighty SCC make it 3 from 3?
Home to @AbbotsburyCC this weekend. Kumar stays 5 after his impressive knock last week and Harry Paulley continues to keep after impressing with the gloves. A return to the line up for Jerry Shaw after an injury lay-off. 1pm start.

Imagine turning for your Division Three match and Kumar Sangakkara is in the opposition XI 🙃
We're sure John Burns will be feeling pretty smug this week 🤣

When you rock up for a Division Three match and Kumar Sangakkara’s in the opposition…

Days like these rarely come along in village cricket. But to play against @shillingstonecc and Kumar Sangakkara was an absolute pleasure. Still a gun cricketer and very generous with his time. This is why I love the sport. #updalacy #villagecricket #cricket @KingstonLacyCC
