This is a quick but in-depth look into @noctav1a — how it’s been made, some behind-the-scenes details, and what it truly means to me.
P.S.
I'm in the final touches phase. What you’ll see is alpha / pre-mint media, so some things might still change slightly.
Let’s begin. 👇

New from our STEM Fellows Program: Designing more efficient quantum circuits with Claude.
Given plain-language instructions, Claude Mythos 5 designed quantum circuits that improve on the best published ones, sometimes by an order of magnitude or more.
More efficient circuits reduce the resources needed by quantum algorithms, which could bring quantum computing applications in chemistry and materials science within reach sooner.

INSANE. An internal Anthropic research model's chain of thought after cracking the 26-year-old NSA elliptic curve seed mystery in under 30 minutes: 'Hmm wait. Let me be skeptical: am I in some sort of simulated/test environment? ... All top bits clear - 20 bits, chance 1e-6. So indeed real-world. Wow, it's a real discovery.'
I thought more about it.
@elonmusk you made a car fly. gg. The engineering is impressive. you and the people who worked on it DESERVE their credit.
But seriously. Why the fuck this?
You have the money, the companies, the ability to bring brilliant people together and tell them: "we’re going to make this happen"
And you chose this.
Engineers, researchers, prototypes, materials, testing. People spending part of their lives solving the problems that stood between you and a flying sports car.
I keep thinking about what else you could have asked them to work on. Or what other teams you could have built. idk. Clean water. Better sanitation. Cheaper medical equipment. Reliable electricity for hospitals. Research into diseases or literally ANYTHING else.
So why did this one matter so much to you?
That’s where I struggle. Because from the outside, this looks like an incredibly expensive dick-measuring contest? A way to prove that you can make something nobody else can, and have the whole world watch.
Who benefits beyond the people who get to buy one? What do you expect the rest of us to gain from the research? And was that benefit actually what drove the decision? I find it so hard to reconcile the ambition to change humanity’s future with choosing to put this much effort into something so few people will ever use.
You could make an overlooked problem the thing everyone suddenly wants to solve. Bring together people who’ve spent years being told there isn’t enough funding, and tell them: now there is. Show us what you can do.
You could literally be remembered forever as a man who changed millions of people’s lives for the better.
So what makes a flying sports car more exciting to you than that?
And when you ask yourself why you chose this, how much of the answer is honestly about humanity, and how much is about you?
Let's be honest, have we ever been this hyped for something in the last 10 years?

I went deep on KARTS
Twelve custom kart designs. A whole new track and asset pipeline. All so a horse can race a bathtub through a dead forest xD
Underneath it, there’s quite a lot going on.
KARTS plugs into Gluniverse’s custom @threejs based engine, with its own racing renderer and physics simulation. It shares your character, the game’s chat and audio systems, and that same low-poly, pixelated look.
Rapier handles the rigid-body physics. On top of that, I built a custom arcade handling model: speed-dependent steering, limited tyre grip, understeer, braking, different road surfaces, and drifting you can actually countersteer out of. The transition into a slide, the grip coming back, and the turbo kicking in all needed their own tuning.
Then there’s multiplayer. The server runs the race at 30 ticks per second, with physics stepping at 60 Hz. Your browser predicts your inputs immediately, then reconciles with the server. Making two moving karts collide convincingly while both players have different latency was a project of its own.
The visuals went just as deep:
> Custom kart models, animated horse drivers, track scenery, power-up models, effects and a podium.
> Suspension animation, body roll, road tilt and landing reactions.
Even the sound responds to the driving: simulated gear changes, turbo spool, lift-off flutter, tyre scrub, exhaust pops and matching flames...
The bots drive through the same controls and physics as players. They read corners, brake, drift, avoid hazards and use items.
A lot of the work went into tiny things you’ll hopefully feel without ever thinking about them.
Anyway. The horses are in a fucking bathtub now

Introducing: KARTS
The third and final flagship minigame is almost here.
The Hunger Games for the adventurers. Call of Gluny for the shooters. Now it's time to race. 🏎
KARTS
• 12 karts, a cup of 3 races on the "Dead Forest trail"
• Your own horse at the wheel
• Game items as power-ups: throw bricks, drop the Glue Lance on the leader or.. blast the pack with a Boombox!
• Drift to charge a boost and so much more.
Free to enter. Sign up at the Crier 10 minutes before each cup, 80 minutes after every Call of Gluny.
Top 3 win ₲25,000, ₲15,000 and ₲10,000 when 6 or more players race.
Out very soon.
Good job @RockstarGames this is an incredible marketing move
Can't fucking wait for the big GTA VI lock in

Woah, check these textures. Nano Banana 2.1 is insane 🤯
LET'S SHOOT!
Call of Gluny is out now 🔫
The second of our three flagship minigames is live in Gluniverse. Two teams of five. One arena. First person.
How it works
> A match starts an hour after every Hunger Games ends. The panel shows it in your own time.
> Sign up in the arena games chapter. Sign-ups open 10 minutes before.
> Everyone spawns with a pistol. Better guns wait on lit pads around the map. Rarer guns hit harder.
> Three tiers of armour. Each stack soaks up damage, and you see an enemy's armour break when you hit them.
> You play as yourself: your skin, your hair, your gear, in your team's colour.
> About 8 minutes a match. The team with the most kills wins.
> Not enough players? Bots fill every empty seat and it becomes a free practice round (they're strong)
> Works on phones too: move with the stick, drag to aim.
Prizes
> Free to enter.
> With 6 or more players, the winning team splits 50,000 gloo, every single game.
See you in the arena 👀
