12 angry men is a very well made movie and makes a strong case for dialogue and democracy in general, a deeply political movie that defends so many delusions of bourgeois society. Let’s all come together with facts and logic and get over our differences! Read Schmitt liberals

i’ve spent my career in early bizops roles. here are 4 things that made me better at the job:
1/ get technical enough to unblock yourself. @austinh___ had me spend 6 months larping as a data engineer at ramp with 0 experience. solving problems without borrowing eng time is a superpower
2/ be friends with EVERYONE. organize happy hours, stay for late night karaoke, don’t eat lunch at your desk. early culture building is everyone’s job! knowing who to ask and feeling comfortable asking makes the whole team 10x more resourceful
3/ be annoying about getting clarity. being largely unmanaged doesn’t mean figuring everything out alone. push for answers, bump messages, challenge assumptions. founders are not exempt. i often corner mine in the office :)
4/ pick 1–2 problems at a time and know them cold. i’ve done post-sales, support, recruiting, growth… only ever well when i narrowed my focus. being needed everywhere is flattering, but a terrible prioritization strategy

We’ve officially reached the point where it’s easier & takes less time to deliver a fully coded app to a client than it does to design it by hand in Figma.

it might sound counterintuitive but mathematically this combination has the same probability of being randomly generated as any other

I don't mean this in a bad way but I always saw Jeff Buckley as a yearner who's never meant to find peace, like in a good way

The literacy crisis isn’t that people can’t read the words. It’s that they can’t understand the context, infer meaning, recognise nuance, identify contradictions, or draw logical conclusions from what they’ve read

It's so easy to build but somehow none of us has time to focus on anything. This is a dream for anyone with ADHD, a hell for everyone else.

Cinema is not primarily intellectual, but visceral, experiential. It shines in depictions of action and performance, horror and time. No novel could capture the genius of Jackie Chan.

I am sorry to be reductionist but so many of the negative Digger reviews seem to boil down to people never questioning their status as citizens of the most powerful empire in the history of the world and resenting the idea that they should just briefly think about it critically.
