Putin rigged the election again, and sloppily.
The diagonal line is the first giveaway. In a clean election, turnout and United Russia’s share should not be tightly linked. Here they rise in lockstep.
After five years of war and fuel shortages, turnout and support for the ruling party wouldn’t rise together mechanically.
This result happens if add fake ballots to precincts. You have 1,000 registered voters in a precinct and the actual turnout is 30% and let’s say UR gets 90 votes. You add 400 fake ballots for UR and you have 700 votes cast, or 70% turnout, with UR getting 490 votes, or 70%.
The dotted lines are the second tell. If officials repeatedly fake results around the same round percentages, the dots pile up at those numbers and form visible lines.

The State Department has reported to Congress that the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Palestinian Authority (PA) have, once again, failed to live up to their commitments as described in the PLO Commitments Compliance Act of 1989 (PLOCCA) and the Middle East Peace Commitments Act of 2002 (MEPCA). This includes initiating and supporting actions at international organizations that undermine and contradict prior commitments in support of Security Council Resolution 242 and 338, taking actions to internationalize the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict including through the International Criminal Court (ICC) and International Court of Justice (ICJ), seeking to bypass negotiations through seeking unilateral recognition, and continuing to pay stipends to terrorists and to glorify acts of terrorism and terrorists in public pronouncements and school textbooks.
As a consequence of their failure to reform, contrary to their commitments to the United States, and their ongoing activities that undermine the prospects for peace, the United States will extend sanctions that deny visas to PLO members and PA officials in accordance with section 604(a)(1) of the MEPCA. The Department has maintained the standing waiver for personnel notified to the PLO Observer Mission to the United Nations as was the case in the Department’s prior determinations. It is in our national interest to impose consequences and hold the PLO and PA accountable for glorifying terrorism.

"—Today, under Operation Economic Outcast, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated prominent Russian financial institution, VTB Bank Public Joint Stock Company (VTB Bank) for its involvement in Iranian sanctions evasion, including establishing correspondent relationships with sanctioned Iranian banks.
“Under Operation Economic Outcast, Treasury will continue to target and disrupt those who provide material, technological, or financial support that allows the Iranian regime to sustain its terrorist enterprise,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “Treasury will not tolerate any support to the regime and will continue to identify, expose, and isolate Iran’s enablers.”
OFAC’s action against VTB Bank is being taken pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 13902, which targets certain sectors of the Iranian economy, including Iran’s financial sector. VTB is now among the most comprehensively sanctioned financial institutions in the world. Operation Economic Outcast introduced greater secondary sanctions risk and an accelerated pace of enforcement for those who continue to do business with the Iranian regime. Foreign financial institutions that continued to deal with VTB following its designation under OFAC’s Iran sanctions authorities are exposed to even more sanctions risk than before and should cut off those relationships immediately.

The Democratic Socialists of America’s plans could require $71 trillion to $212 trillion in new federal spending over 10 years, according to an analysis by the libertarian Cato Institute. Major costs include universal healthcare at $39.9–$75.4 trillion, reparations at $13.5–$28 trillion and a federal jobs guarantee at $4.4–$60.4 trillion. The scale would be close to Soviet-style communism.
Cato says the plans could push total government spending from about 34% of the economy to as much as 92%, requiring federal revenue to roughly double at the low end or quadruple at the high end. Even taking the entire $6.6 trillion wealth of America’s 400 richest people would cover only 9% of the low-end funding requirement.
DSA says the wealthy and corporations should pay more. DSA co-chair Megan Romer recently said the group believes in “taxing the hell out of millionaires.”
