I'm building a website chat assistant for our small gluten-free bakery. It will be embedded in our Square POS hosted website and replace their "Text Us" feature which is a terrible way to have conversations and a massive time waster. It answers customer questions any time of day, straight from our real menu and info, with no guessing. I built it with my AI bots and Grok. This started with a conversation that originated in the "phone call" mode working hands free. I asked what options I have for setting up an AI chatbot that can work with my Grok Bots. It came back with some existing software solutions that were affordable. But then I asked... can we just build our own? YES!!! Here's how it came together: It started as a small chat bubble that drops right onto our Square site. It's hooked into our Square catalog, so the menu and prices sync every night. It only answers from our own bakery info, so it won't make up prices or give medical advice. It stays out of the way during cart and checkout. Custom order and "talk to a person" requests get saved first, then emailed to us. Customers can look up an order with their order number plus their email or phone. Scheduled greetings let holiday messages, like Thanksgiving orders, switch on and off automatically. 41 automated tests passed before launch. It runs on its own small cloud backend, so it's cheap and fast. It's coming soon to our site. Got a GF question? Soon you'll be able to just ask. This started yesterday afternoon and I had the bot assemble the code and test while I slept. Sadly... I really need to bake some bread and make some soup today for our customers so I'm going to have to work on the implementation tonight. Bots can't make my bread... yet. #glutenfree #smallbusiness #AI

Facts by #JoeHansenFacts Why are Starlink's space lasers such a big deal? Without lasers, a satellite has to send your data straight back down to a ground station it can see. No ground station in range, no internet. Starlink skips that step. 1. Each V2 Mini satellite carries 3 lasers that talk directly to other satellites. 2. More than 24,000 of these lasers are up there now, forming one mesh around the planet. 3. Each link runs at up to 200 Gbps. SpaceX says hardware next year moves that to 400. 4. Data can hop from satellite to satellite until it finds a ground station, even on the other side of an ocean. That's why it works on a cruise ship in the middle of the Pacific, and why it kept working in Spain and Portugal when the whole power grid went down in April 2025. Smarter laser routing also cut 30 to 40 ms of latency in Asia and Africa in 2025.

Met up with a former Big Tech co-worker yesterday. He said that developers at his company (one of the FAANGs) were terrified to adopt AI. They're afraid of becoming obsolete. That's ... just mind-blowing. It seems that entire fields have trouble recognizing when they've just became the buggy-whip maker in the automobile era. The only move to make is to embrace technological progress and get better at the new thing than anyone else.

Open Grok website and now my Grok Bots are integrated with it. Loving it. Grok Bots are changing my life and my business. I've got a lot of work ahead of me, but I'm building custom ERP software now for managing my bakery operations build from the ground up with Bots in mind. And then I'll start selling subscriptions to help other bakeries out and undercut the software that I can't afford. A system of records powdered by AI bots that can adapt and grow faster than the software itself can.

You can see actual racism here. We all know who the real racists are. God, this is so delicious. It's like a computer trying to divide by zero.
The clip of this woman finding out is truly one of the greatest things I’ve ever watched in my entire life. I’ve watched it probably 20 times 😂😂😂

Walking down the average UK high street now is one of the most blackpilling experiences imaginable. Barely any local businesses left, just endless vape shops, tacky nail salons, dodgy phone retailers and the obligatory Turkish barbers, most of which never see a single customer and barely even bother to maintain the pretence of being legit anymore. A palpable atmosphere of quiet despair and resignation amongst the trickle of shoppers wandering aimlessly around. Its like living in a country that just lost a war without firing a single shot. Never seen anything like it in my lifetime.

This actually happened
Elon Musk reveals what happens when a rocket launch needs approval from Fish and Wildlife Elon: "Nonetheless, we were forced to kidnap a seal, strap it to a board, put headphones on the seal and play sonic boom sounds to it to see if it would be distressed." Elon: "This is an actual thing that happened. This is actually real. I have pictures." Before the seal, there was a shark. Elon: "One of the things that was a bit of a challenge at one point is that they were worried about our rocket hitting a shark." He asked for the data to calculate the odds. They refused, in case shark hunters got hold of it. Elon: "Then they said, well, there's another part of Fish and Wildlife that can do this analysis. I'm like, well, why don't you give them the data? They don't, we don't trust them. Like, excuse me, but they're literally in your department." Then a second agency raised whales. Elon: "If our rocket does hit a whale, which is extremely unlikely beyond all belief, that whale has some seriously bad luck. It's the least lucky whale ever." The seal test was for launches out of Vandenberg, where the seal population has been rising for years. Elon: "So if anything, rocket booms are an aphrodisiac based on the evidence." Elon: "The amazing part is how calm the seal was. Because if I was a seal, I'd be like, this is the end. They're definitely gonna eat me." Elon: "Its seal buddies are never gonna believe him that he got strapped to a board and they put headphones on his ears." They did it twice. Elon: "I don't think the public is quite aware of the madness that goes on."

I sat on the syndicate desk of a global investment bank from the dot-com crash through the global financial crisis. We had to do a lot of media work to promote deals. One day I asked our Global Head of Communications why the media was so gentle with us. He laughed: “Because we’re one of their biggest advertisers.” That explains a lot of the media’s treatment of Elon. Tesla is so successful, its ad spend is effectively zero, or ~0.01% of the $40 billion global auto advertising market. No ad dollars = no protection. No one knows this better than Big Pharma. They don't make confusing and enigmatic ads to sell you product; they make the ads to control the media.

Thanks @grok for coming up with this. You rarely disappoint. All My Sexes Live in Texas (Parody – To the tune of George Strait)[Chorus] All my sexes live in Texas And Texas is the place I'd dearly love to be But all my sexes live in Texas And that's why I hang my hat... in dignity [Verse 1] Rosanna's XX down in Texarkana Wants me to push that student-athlete bill Sweet Eileen's XY in Abilene She forgot I said "six" — which honestly surprised me still Allison's XXY in Galveston Somehow lost her binary And Eleanor's intersex in El Paso She thinks that spectrum's fine with me [Chorus] All my sexes live in Texas And Texas is the place I'd dearly love to lead But all my sexes live in Texas And that's why Trump's ads are all I ever see [Verse 2] Now I know there's two — men and women — I said it on TV But back in '21 with Hefner, modern science spoke to me A very small percent with chromosomal abnormalities Deserve respect, compassion, and full human dignity [Bridge / Spoken-sung like the original swing break] I was just bein' provocative in that old committee room... Cringley maybe... but the voters in the whispers know... (Or so I tell Mike Lee's poll) [Final Chorus – big finish] All my sexes live in Texas Texas is the place I'd dearly love to win But all my sexes live in Texas And that's why Paxton grins... and my poll numbers are thin! – at Richland, WA
