I now have ideas developing for two new magic systems/worlds and an independent fantasy horror novel, all of which must wait their turn so I can finish Runeborn 3.
I have so much writing to do that I will probably never die.
SPFBO 11 is live and I made the cut!

Finishing Runeborn 3 feels like slogging through an Alaskan river!
In other words, I'm announcing something you've probably already guessed: life has been busy lately.
So here's the deal: I've seen some authors talk about social media "breaks" or a "hiatus," but I'm just not going to be as active for a while. You can still message me and I'll still answer, but my posts will not be consistent (as if they ever were).
I'm still writing, and my goal is still to launch at least one book a year with Runeborn 3 hopefully releasing sometime before Summer 2026. But in the meantime, maybe go haggle @michaelmichelauthor or @zb_steele. They always seem to be causing trouble (er, I mean writing 😅)
I've been fortunate enough to collaborate in ANOTHER anthology that releases this year and it just launched on Kickstarter 👀
22 fantasy and sci-fi authors have combined to form a collection of stories exploring the concept of "Honor"...and the physical copies are 🔥🔥🔥
Our kickstarter ended fully funded AND with illustrations for every story.
This could not be done without so many supporting members of this wonderful community. Thanks for believing in this anthology and making it happen!
