11/ Before celebrating, ask three things. -Was it a fixed Shariah penalty or the state's discretion? -Was the process transparent, and was Dhaka informed? -Is enforcement the same for everyone? Until those are answered, this looks less like Shariah and more like hypocrisy.

10/ A discretionary state ruling isn't proof of Shariah implementation, and celebrating it as a victory ignores the legal details. Shariah deserves to be upheld with justice and consistency, not waved like a banner when it suits.

Heartbreaking news: One of Sri Lanka’s most iconic tuskers, Kavantissa, has died after battling gunshot injuries for nearly a month. The majestic elephant had been receiving treatment for several weeks, with desperate efforts made to save his life. A sad day for Sri Lanka and its wildlife.

Acrylic on canvas 50 × 60 cm “Between Two Worlds” Every sunset promises a new sunrise. Day turns into night, and night gives way to a new day. The sun disappears beyond the horizon, only to rise again and fill the world with light. And this beautiful cycle continues endlessly. Our lives are very much like this constant dance between light and darkness. There are happy moments when it feels as though the entire world is shining just for us. And there are difficult times when we cannot see even the smallest ray of light ahead. But no night lasts forever. That is why it is so important to keep moving forward. To dream, to set new goals, to try, to make mistakes, and to begin again. Not to put life on hold, not to wait for perfect circumstances, and not to waste precious time on things we cannot change. Because time is perhaps the most valuable thing we have. We cannot stop it, bring it back, or save it for later. Every day is a new opportunity to create something beautiful, to love, to discover something new, and to take another step toward our dreams. And even if today feels like a sunset in your life, remember that somewhere beyond the horizon, a new sunrise is already beginning. Don’t be afraid of change. Don’t be afraid to start over. And never stop moving forward. ❤️

Aging parents. Cancer diagnosis of loved ones. Sitting on a lot of heavy thoughts and thinking about mortality lately. We are all here on borrowed time.

Before Libya was invaded, it was the fastest growing economy in Africa. Education was free. Health care was free.15 years after USA led NATO intervention, Libya is now a war-zone, an open air slave camp. The USA has never restored democracy anywhere in the world.

there's a beautiful sunnah of making things easy for people. whether it's forgiving a mistake, explaining something patiently, or helping someone without making them feel embarrassed, kindness has always been part of the prophetic way.

BIRDS TRAPPED IN THE EYE 🌀🐦 Hurricane Hunters and Doppler Radar have confirmed that there are birds trapped in the eye of #Isaias right now because the winds are too strong in the eyewall. As a result, they stay within the calmer eye until reaching land. In this image, the blue colors are birds, the red color is rain. Unfortunately not all birds survive due to exhaustion, starvation or even drowning, but most do...especially depending on the type of bird. Landfall is this evening, so they just have to hold on for a little bit longer!

she wrote the code for apollo 11 back when PROGRAMMING DIDNT EXIST!! she literally invented modern software engineering on the fly for this!! AND that software was so well written it saved the lives of all the astronauts during a landing failure, literally winning the space race
Margaret Hamilton, who led the team that wrote the code that put humans on the moon, has died at 90 🕊️

The main reason why most people don't succeed at anything is because they're not prepared to be bad at something for a long time.
