What you're dealing with is an "autonomous complex" in psychological terms. Its a multi national, multi cultural, collective unconscious parasite that has its own operating system, its own ethics and worldview. This particular complex is a product of unmetabolized aggression or "warrior" energy in the psyches of those who belong to it and who are susceptible to its influence. After it sucks you dry and kills you, it will then try to get into any other society that is susceptible. These psychic parasites are not particular to Jews, Christians or any cultural or ethnic group. They are a function of the collective psyche of mankind and you see similar autonomous complexes operating all over the planet in different ethnic environments. The solution is psychological. But because we are deathly afraid of our own shadows and are psychologically illiterate as a people, we are ripe for these parasites. But for those who have the capacity, the actual solution is when a human forms a balanced relationship with their aggression, rage and control drives and develops a psycho-spiritual practice that allows this energy to come into consciousness and then be displaced by activities and lifestyle that use the energy productively and with continual conscious awareness. Basically the solution is what Jungians call shadow work and living a shadow aware life. But as long as the society stays unaware of how this works psychologically, they will remain totally susceptible and these large scale parasites will continue to develop and destroy.

Exactly. The only way to evolve, as an individual or a civilization is to come face to face with your shadow and eat it. Stomach it, metabolize it, integrate it and then relate to it truthfully forever after. That's how you evolve. And for America, its evolve or die time.

That's very good you're asking this. Of course a biblical explanation for evil can't be the full answer. Just as ancient understandings cant tell us all we need to know about medicine, psychology or so many other areas of life, we need a holistic understanding of evil that "includes" a biblical understanding but is not limited to it. This happens to be what I've been working on for over 20 years. If I were to give you what I think is the most important perspective to understand the nature of evil, I would point you to Carl Jung's theory of the shadow. Basically we humans have within us a very primal, animalistic level of our psychology and physiology that is not able to be contained by culture and moral boundaries. That lower aspect of us Jung called the shadow. We have created organized and moral societies which are incredible compared to ancient humans, but we have not outgrown our animalistic primal nature. So that shadow side of us leaks out everywhere and this is how evil is created in the world. Its basically the psychic projection and physical displacement of our shadows. Our conscious egos cannot tolerate the idea that deep down we have massive amounts of aggression, sexuality, power drives and the like, so the ego represses this material into the unconscious and blocks us from realizing it. Then the ego creates all kinds of rationales to allow us to dump our shadow energy. We demonize and scapegoat others so that we can go ahead and dump all our shadow material onto other people, other tribes, etc. Or our shadow material just blows out through manic, hysterical episodes. Jung posited this theory over a hundred years ago and its well understood by Jungian psychologists, but the general public has completely neglected to accept this reality because the alternative requires great maturity and responsibility. To mitigate evil and balance our societies we need people who consciously work on integrating their own shadows and who are psychologically courageous. Rather than letting your shadow energy leak and blow out, you can become conscious of it, carefully work thorough it and process the repressed emotions in place. There are a fraction of humans whom I call alchemists who engage in deep psychotherapeutic shadow work practices to balance this primal energy and raise their consciousness, but the general public is still addicted to projection and displacement, so this very ugly game goes on and on. Mark, our entire civilization is dissolving. I dont think we will lose the most basic foundations, but the upper structures are burning down. Many will fight to keep what we have, some will duck out and let it burn and some will start building new structures at the ground level. It has to be rebuilt at the ground level and that will not be accomplished in our lifetimes. So the creative folk and the problem solvers who "get it" will be busy doing the most advanced and mature things in little pockets everywhere. Like new green shoots coming up. Give it a hundred years and we will have something much more clean, mature and strong than we have now. But it will feel very different. And thats how evolution works.
