This decision seemed inevitable from what has been in the press, but to pull the trigger after taking declarations for Friday's meet at 10am is a real slap in the face for Owners/Trainers & Jocs some of these races have been targeted for months. Tone deaf from @BHAHorseracing
The BHA has confirmed that a racecourse licence will not be granted to Golden Mile Racing Limited, the new company formed to operate Chelmsford City Racecourse, following the previous licence holder Great Leighs Estates Limited being placed in administration.

The French showing us how to react when Racings leaders don't give proper respect to the hard working participants & long paying owners without whose support racing would be non existent. We should do the same here & stand up for a fair deal
Interesting development @francegalop today: ALL RUNNERS WITHDRAWN from the reformatted Prix Desir de Mai tomorrow: a clear statement by racing’s professionals against the lack of consultation with them by the racing authority; see also statements by @EddeRothschild ! @theTDN

The only way for this to change is direct action by the participants don't enter. Don't run & jockey don't ride! Their tune would change completely if, this, Sunday racing was a card of walkovers
Easter Sunday, then you shouldn’t be allowed to stage a meeting @BHAHorseracing. That’s how it was sold to us all those years ago, and look where we are now. Just as importantly, we as trainers, along with our owners, should be voting with our feet @NTFnews @RacehorseOwners 2/3
