UPDATE ON JUSTINE ❤️ Justine wanted everyone to know that he is doing okay and is incredibly thankful for all the love, messages, and support everyone has shown him. After speaking with multiple immigration attorneys, voluntary departure/self deportation currently appears to be the most practical option and may allow Justine to return home sooner, while also avoiding the potentially very high costs of a lengthy legal battle. Update on the GoFundMe: The original fundraiser was refunded in full because the wording made it seem like the funds could only be used for attorney fees. The original organizer, Borris, wanted to make sure everything was handled appropriately. Because of that, I created a new GoFundMe with a broader purpose. The funds will be used for Justine and whatever he needs, whether that's legal expenses, travel, housing, food, relocation, getting settled somewhere new, or anything else that directly helps him through this situation and afterward. The goal is simple: support Justine, no matter what happens next. Justine is currently waiting on his court date which is scheduled for 9/30 (they rescheduled his original date).
