Clef answers typed questions. Clairic pulls typed values out of messy text and images. Neither makes you parse free text.
Clef is open-weight and live on sference, on EU GPUs. Clairic is a Workers AI preview for now, with open weights promised.

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 is out and already live in @sferenceai!
It solves the exact problems we've heard from customers: thinks less, reasoning parameters actually change the thinking and it has better image recognition.
Great release!

Alright, just so you know we've been busy at @sferenceai this weekend:
👁️ Kimi K3 now has vision. Send it images alongside text, served on EU GPUs.
🧠 DeepSeek now supports max thinking mode for the hard problems.
And here is Requesty’s analysis: requesty.ai/blog/decision-mo…
Requesty routed 22,000 decisions on Oct 5. Clef on sference and Clef on Cloudflare agreed on 97.3% of answers: same weights, our serving. Calibration error was 0.02 to 0.04, so a 0.8 means 80%.

Yep. The amount of fraud is mind-boggling. We hear crazy stories. And it's one of the main reasons why people keep coming to @sferenceai directly. You get peace of mind, one responsible party and stability.
There are some very legit routers out there though, that don't just care about price, like @RequestyAI and @vercel gateway.
Yesterday I posted about inference price war pushing margin down. But I since learned inference scammers are a thing with shady price manipulations:
As inference providers,
- You can lower your input token price 100x cheaper but up your output price 5x. You rank higher in openrouter in price but tots cost is much higher.
- You can quantize the model to serve cheaply but users are buying a shittier model.
- You can retain and sell user data elsewhere to make more money.
- You can secretly swap to DeepSeek v4 flash but say it’s GLM 5.3 10% of the time.
Therefore it’s hard to know
1. You get the model you ask for
2. You pay for the tokens you actually burn across cache input, input, output and
3. Your data is safe.
I’m sure openrouter is working on it AND baseten, fireworks, together and other enterprise brands will continue to thrive even with higher pricing because they sell peace of mind.
Inkling by @thinkymachines is live on sference from day 0.
