The Wheel in the Sky keeps on turning, and I for one think that by now we should be looking at this as possibly a braking issue.

Might I suggest an alternate acknowledgment: We acknowledge that we are gathered today on unceded territory, shaped by children of the Enlightenment, who through perseverance and sheer force of will carved farms from forest, and built schools where there were none. A land transformed through hard labour and an abiding faith in a Christian God. A place where heretofore there were no written words, no science, no hospital. A land of privation, affliction and untimely death. A land cultivated, defended, and passed down by generations of settlers who built, with patient hands, a world rooted in law, learning, and liberty. Who dared imagine roads, libraries, and universities—when there was nothing but scrub and rock and bush. We acknowledge that we are the inheritors and the beneficiaries of the slow, stubborn building of a civil society— a birthright that is our duty to nurture and defend. We acknowledge that we are gathered here today on unceded territory, the legacy of those who never surrendered what they built.

I can show mercy for their mental illness but grammar like this makes me want them sent to labor camps.

While I'll still never in my life ever pay a cent for a flavored roofing shingle, @PopTartsUS's response here is pretty awesome.

Muslim men are insects waiting to prey upon sweet girls. Thats what I got from this.
That’s why the hijab holds such significance in Islam.

Except... It did basically solve world hunger. Capitalism FTW.
USSR collapsed more than 30 years ago and capitalism is yet to solve world hunger, world poverty or people dying from curable infections

I remember when I was a kid in the 1940s, my mom would bake bread and when the first loaf was done she would put it out on the counter to cool and put the next loaf in to bake. When she came back to take the second loaf out, there was nothing left of the first loaf but one end crust. Man, sitting there smelling that fresh bread bake with your mouth watering took away any desire to wait. As soon as she left the kitchen we'd be in there slicing off a thick slice and slavering on a load of fresh butter and maybe a struzzel of honey. Hot, home made bread with rich butter wasn't made to be resisted. She'd act mad but you knew she was secretly pleased.

So. Shame that this is where comfort now comes from, but I AM comforted to see that stupid is reaping what stupid sowed. fox9.com/news/modern-times-c…

This, 500,000 times this...
We call on France to exercise restraint when dispersing the freedom fighters on the streets of Paris. These brave warriors for justice must receive immediate humanitarian aid, and their safety must be guaranteed in accordance with international law. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to bring a case before the ICJ, in close cooperation with that renowned champion of human rights, Afghanistan.

How Muslims handle requests that they be law-abiding:
Traffic warden issues ticket outside a mosque and receives the following treatment from the Muslims attending..

Cari italiani, il palestinismo si appropria di tutto ciò che gli altri hanno costruito di bello e lo distrugge. Non permettetegli di distruggere il vostro splendido Paese. Tenete testa ai prepotenti!

Who the hell do you think you are? You’re the mayor. You don’t own these garages. You say every owner has a choice. That includes telling you to shove it. I’ll invite ICE agents to my apartment for dinner and let them ahead of me in line at Starbucks if I damn well please. You and your 100 signatures don’t get a vote. Go fuck yourself.
More than 100 elected officials have joined me in calling on parking lot and garage owners across New York City: Don’t give ICE a place to operate. Don’t rent to them. Tell them they’re not welcome. Last week, ICE agents shot Oscar Belgal in the neck in Marble Hill while his 5-year-old son sat in the car. They had been staging nearby in a private parking lot. Our city laws keep ICE off public property. Now, we’re calling on private property owners to do the same. One garage on Morton Street already removed ICE vehicles after neighbors spoke out. Every owner has that power.
