🚨 SCAM ALERT: INTERNET PROVIDER IMPERSONATION
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office received a report today of scam calls from individuals claiming to represent Xfinity or an internet service provider. The resident reported the caller I.D listed as, "Advantis Solutions."
Here’s how the scam works:
📞 The caller tells you that someone is attempting to purchase or establish internet service using one of your previous addresses.
⚠️ The caller then asks you to verify personal information to supposedly confirm your identity or stop the transaction.
DO NOT PROVIDE THE INFORMATION
Scammers may already know your name, an old address, or other basic information. They can use those details to make the call sound legitimate and convince you to provide additional personal or financial information.
🔐 Never provide Social Security numbers, account numbers, passwords, verification codes or financial information to an unsolicited caller.
📵 Do not rely on caller ID. Phone numbers can be spoofed to appear legitimate.
☎️ Hang up and contact your internet provider directly using the phone number listed on your bill, account or the provider’s official website.
Remember: A caller knowing your name or an old address does not prove the call is legitimate. When in doubt, hang up and verify.
Please share this warning with family members, friends, and neighbors.

“I committed JUCO early in my junior year of high school because I knew it was the best decision for me and my softball career. I wanted the opportunity to play, develop, and grow before taking that next step.
Looking back, I’m so thankful I chose the JUCO route. I loved my experience and the people I met along the way. It gave me the chance to play at the college level, gain confidence in myself, and continue developing as a player. It also helped me a ton with recruiting and opened doors for me that ultimately helped get me where I am today.
JUCO showed me that everyone’s journey is different, and there’s nothing wrong with taking a different route to get where you want to be. I’ll always be thankful for what JUCO did for me and would recommend it to any player trying to figure out their next step.”

Georgia teacher, father of four d*es saving a stranger’s child from a rip current.
Derrick Moore, 47, a beloved elementary school teacher from Loganville, was at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on August 7.
After lifeguards had gone off duty, he saw a young girl caught in a powerful rip current.
Without hesitation he ran into the water, pulled her to safety, and was then swept under himself.
His body was recovered the next day. He had never met the girl.
Students at Rockbridge Elementary called him “Coach.”
Colleagues and family say he was the kind of man who always showed up with a smile and a heart ready to help.
He didn’t know her. He just knew she needed saving.
THAT was a true American hero. Let's make sure people know what he did.

So the only reason Blaze said something is because he was hitting over .300? Not the fact that he got drilled and broke his hand? Got it. Clown take.
Vinnie Pasquantino on the Blaze Alexander HBP and the benches-clearing fracas between Orioles and Royals:
"We had some up-and-in pitches the other day. To be honest, that’s a guy who’s hitting over .300 and is feeling good about himself that feels the need, when he gets hit, that he can say something. So credit to him for feeling good about himself like that.
"But he’s clearly not -- it’s a 1-2 count. We’re trying to get outs. We’re not trying to give away free baserunners. I think that’s a bad baseball mindset, personally, because why would we hit a guy right there? It’s just common sense.
"But he feels good about what he’s doing right now, and credit to him, he’s been having a really good year. That was my perspective on it."
