Halloween artificial cobweb material:
It may be a bit of fake fun for you, but it's a very real and terrifying death for them.
And it's not only birds.
Last year I had my first call of the season of a hedgehog trapped in this horrific fake 'cobweb', made especially for gullible halloweeners to spread over their greenery, trapping all unsuspecting birds, insects and mammals, including hedgehogs.
The fine synthetic fibers are difficult for animals to see and can quickly wrap around their legs, spines, and neck, leading to severe injuries.
When a hedgehog struggles to free herself the web tightens, cutting off circulation and causing deep wounds.
These constriction injuries often lead to permanent damage or death.
Unfortunately the call was from Manchester, so all I could do was talk them through getting the poor creature to a rescue.
Clearly she had been trapped there for at least one night, and her struggles had pulled the strong nylon strands so tightly that one of her toes had been amputated.
Can you imagine the pain and the sheer terror?
And then seeing dawn approach, while hanging there, tightly bound and helpless.
Aside from being stressed, dehydrated, starving and exhausted to the point of near death, she also had horrific bite/peck wounds to her face, where she had been held there, helpless, unable to curl and defend herself, while a predator tried to eat her alive.
If you have used this deadly cruel trap to 'decorate' your garden, please take it down now.
Please don't be conned by the greedy makers and sellers of this rubbish into hurting defenceless animals.
Also was the lady in the red dress on Strictly tonight? #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing
Idk what Kai was meant to be but I couldn't take my eyes off him! So bizarre and weirdly sexy 😂 #strictly #strictlycomedancing #Im45minsbehind – at Bramley, England
Just finished #twoweeksinaugust - by about halfway through it actively loathed every single adult person in it but I felt like I had to see it through to the end. What a stupid programme. No actual storyline, about a bunch of twazzocks
I really wish there was a new series of #thediplomat with Sophie Rundall. I discovered it a couple of months ago and it's so good! I don't know why they only made one series of it!
@ITV @BBC @StreamOnU @PrimeVideo
Anyone know where #Missedcall is set/filmed? It looks beautiful there
I really wish #RATW didn't do elimination legs. I love all of the teams this year, I don't want to lose any of them #RaceAcrossTheWorld
If only mental health problems were better understood and Jane could have had some treatment or help. She's obviously so ill but just gets blamed throughout her life for having strong feelings, for being too sensitive, for being unreasonable, for being manipulative

The Summit was so satisfying tonight! Dockers and Charlit did not see that coming! Nice when bullies get their comeuppance. Dockers has collapsed emotionally since then too

I got stuck in the one way system in Guildford this afternoon. It was terrible. Every time the lights changed, one car went through.
I was there for so long that I sent my husband a voice note to tell him I loved him and he should go on and live his life without me 😂
So sad about John Virgo. National treasures shouldn't be allowed to die.
I never saw him play but I loved his humorous and knowledgeable commentary.
Where's the cue ball going?!

#PIP causes extreme stress, and it makes me cry, have panic attacks, and experience suicidal feelings. How is this ok? There has to be a better way of doing things
I just want to scream about that phone call and I am crying now. Everything about this process is unfair. I hate it
Just phoned DWP to ask for an extension with my PIP. Apparently last time I phoned, it gave me two extensions in one day, which means this is the last one I can have. You can have three extensions.
So even though I'm now on my second extension I can't have another one #PIP
#24HoursinPoliceCustody tonight is very sad. Yesterday evening a teenage boy was murdered by stabbing in a park in Guildford, a place I go regularly
It is so sad that young people feel the need to use knives. I really long for the day when everyone can feel safe and be safe
Shoutout to Tony @ODEONCinemas Guildford who saw me in my wheelchair, my husband pushing me, my hands full of snacks, and who scanned my ticket on my phone which was dangling from my wrist, without me having to ask or without asking me to move to make it more convenient for him.
