Agree, this has been a LONG TERM escalating problem due to global supply chain failure that has worsened post-pandemic & an abject failure of successive governments to address, though Scomo & Albo's govts have probably been the most asleep at the wheel creating local solutions.

A trained martial artist goes to jail if they fail to recognise they are a dangerous weapon and they enter a street fight, even in self defence, without careful use of this weapon and kill or seriously harm someone with excess force.

Similarly an AFL player knows they are a dangerous projectile at full flight = dangerous weapon. They MUST enter a contest at speed with due care so they can safely tackle or get the ball. Won't make the game less tough, just less cowardly, and will save their brains. Be wise.
