Data from the U.S. Geological Survey shows several counties across the country with higher than average glyphosate usage, and more than 55 million people live in counties with above-average glyphosate use. nbcnews.com/data-graphics/to…

ALT Map of the United States showing glyphosate sprayed for agricultural purposes in pounds per square mile. The more glyphosate is sprayed in a county, the darker blue the county is. Deep swatches of blue cut across Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas and down toward Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. The map's subtitle reads: "Herbicides containing glyphosate are most used in farmland counties, with areas in Colorado and Texas topping the list."
A year ago I started looking into ways to log my own bank transactions automatically. I figured "All these banks have apps. And a billion personal finance apps can log transactions. Surely these APIs are publicly available!"
Boy was I wrong.
And when they talk about APIs, they refer them in like, magical terms. As if like every other modern industry hasn't had them for at least 6 years.
I'm not the only person to try this either. Github is littered with the bones of folks who tried to bank transactions accessible. So many abandoned projects. github.com/search?q=bank+tra…
And oh my god, UK Open Banking. I saw those efforts early on and was like "Okay! Open banking is a thing! This is totally going to work."
LOL I was so wrong. xitter.cf/miller_stephen/status/…
Why @UKOpenBanking is a model for giving people access to their own personal financial data

To claim the majority, one party will likely have to win at least six competitive races this fall.
@ChuckTodd and @SteveKornacki have several scenarios on how things could play out. nbcnews.to/3yhu9BP

So proud of the work that @alex_andra_ford @JefferiesDanica @carman_copy and @joemurph put into this one. See how tenuous senate control really is

Lol I spent the entire summer being mad that Stage Manager wasn't available on older iPads. Now that I can try it...I really really don't like it.
Oh this is exactly the opposite of what I hoped would happen :(

In order to ship **Interoperable** Viewport Units, we had to do something about this different resize behavior.
That’s why, also shipping in Chrome 108, Chrome on Android will no longer resize the ICB when the Virtual Keyboard gets shown.
