The abysmal lack of systems and sops. And the most vulnerable are paying the price. Again and again.
There has been criminal negligence in this case & if there is no independent inquiry and if those responsible are not prosecuted then it will be a big failure of the state. This was not just a terrible accident but criminal negligence of PIMS staff which led to the death of 14 innocent newborns in the most horrific way which has stunned a nation .

Over the years I have posted about countless crimes against women, the hashtags, the horrors - today I’m posting because my cousin Hina Javed was murdered in her in-laws home yesterday. She’d been married less than 10 months. Pray for her, pray for justice. Demand justice.

Speaking at the event, UNDP RR Dr. @SamuelRizk commended NCHR for setting a high standard of transparency. “NCHR has shown that human rights work is not just an office to hold or a job to do — it is a conscientious commitment,” he said, while highlighting the importance of continuity to sustain the progress made over the past years. #HuqooqePakistanII #ImpactThroughCourage
