Teken hier: behoudnatuurplaseesterga.pet… Meer info hier: natuurplaseesterga.nl Heel veel dank!

I have signed the open letter asking the University of Ghent to reinstate Dr. Nicholas Cofnas. His autism and controversial ideas are irrelevant. Academics must not be punished for exposing academic fraud or incompetence. Join with your ORCID: johnarmstrongmaths.com/openl…

When I migrated (legally!) from Holland to the Cotswolds 25 years ago, I found there a warm high trust society, very concious of and caring for the ancient, vulnerable and beautiful landscape. The neighbours in my small village were most welcoming and made sure I felt at home. – at Aalburg, Nederland
Britain's new PM Andy Burnham now wants to shove illegal immigrants into areas of the country where there used to be few to none of them. This includes the Cotswolds and other idyllic postcard locations. This island is ruled by traitors.

One day my co-worker asked me to pick up his daughter from school. There were a few odd looks from the parents gathered in the schoolyard when I entered as nobody knew me, but the girl's happy greeting when she saw me quickly removed all suspicion. I trust they stay vigilant. – at Aalburg, Nederland

En el telediario de Antena 3 la reportera no paraba de repetir "familias enteras, mujeres y niños" mientras a su lado solo pasaban hombres. Han sido unos 30 segundos de mentirte en la cara con lo que tú mismo estabas viendo.

A 5 km walk around the fortified town of Willemstad at a strategic point between North Brabant and South Holland. Its defenses withstood the Spanish in the 16th century, the French in the 18th century, but not the Germans in 1940. They added bunkers and antitank walls. #mapmywalk

A 6 km walk around Groningen, fortified with stone walls before 1470, when they were replaced with earthworks to absorb canonballs. In 1594 the Dutch captured the city from the Spanish and added bastions. Today the only remaining gate is on display at the Amsterdam @rijksmuseum.

A 5 km walk exploring the fortified village of Bourtange. Founded in 1580 as a fortress to control the only route through the marshland, it lost its military function after 1850 when the marshes were dried, but since 1967 the defenses have been restored to create a living museum.

The historic evolution of the Hoeksterend bulwark is displayed on the facade of the current building (a multilevel parking garage) in a series of maps showing the site as it was in 1550, 1603, 1845, 1877, 1960 and 2000. See the Google Streetview at maps.app.goo.gl/Bdyst35ZdkHF….

Once home to the country's second oldest university (after the one in Leiden), founded in 1585 by the States of Friesland, closed by Napoleon in 1811, today the city is best known for the world's oldest working planetarium, built between 1774 and 1781. See eisinga-planetarium.nl/

The town centre was packed with tourists on this sunny holiday. The 17th century moat around it offered some peace and quiet, nice views of the green ramparts and a relaxing swim.
