Adam Driver says the fan response to ‘THE HUNT FOR BEN SOLO’ was “pretty incredible.”
“I didn’t expect that it was going to be billboards and people flying planes over Disney and things like that. That was pretty cool.”

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

we don’t talk enough about how insane it is that LFL can spend $3M on a script, commission concept art, and spend two years developing a movie that all the top brass at LFL was supportive of…all for a single disney businessman to have the power to cancel it.
that’s bleak.

that one time you were served a legitimate star wars masterpiece on a silver platter and the fanbase spent the next decade telling you it was the worst movie ever made

THE LOVE HYPOTHESIS, a new rom-com based on a novel that was originally Reylo fan fiction, includes a number of Star Wars Easter eggs
• John Williams’ theme for Rey is reinterpreted and included in several points of the film.
• Gracie Abrams’ ‘Mess It Up’ is in the film, a homage to her father JJ Abrams, director of Episodes VII and IX
• Tom Bateman is the star of the movie and Daisy Ridley’s husband in real life
• Tom Bateman’s character is named Adam, after Adam Driver
• Adam carries Olive like Kylo carries Rey in The Force Awakens

Imagine being Disney and indirectly doing promo for a prime video movie cause they got the rights to adapt the fanfiction of the couple you fumbled by killing off the legacy character. RELEASE THE HUNT FOR BEN SOLO.
